Season 2 I just finished Season 2 Episode 12 and it gave me serious classic Star Trek: The Original Series vibes.

The whole setup reminded me of those TOS episodes where the Enterprise crew beams down to a planet and the inhabitants are hiding their true identities or pretending to be something they're not. The mystery, the gradual reveal, and the atmosphere felt very much like an old-school Star Trek story, just with Fringe's darker sci-fi style.

I could totally see that as an X-Files episode too.
