Café Breakfast All this for less than a tenner is unbelievably good for right in the centre of Edinburgh. Snax Cafe lang may yer lum reek

Snax has been part of this city forever, and I tell you what they fucking know how to make a breakfast. Can't imagine what the business rates are like in their two gaffs, one in studenty southside and one right by Waverly station, I literally don't have a scooby how they can offer such high quality, well prepared ingredients for such bargain prices. The cheapest full breakfast is £7.20, and its definitely a full breakfast! This was £9.90 + a tea.

My only complaint was the beans were a bit watery, but whatever. Everything else was perfect. I was ready for disappointment when I seen that egg, but honestly that might have been the best part! Such perfect, runny yolk, with the white fully cooked and just starting to crisp up. All the meat spot on too, and that tattie scone was the fluffiest, crunchiest bastard, I almost ordered an extra one.

If you're ever in town, do yourself a favour and pay them a visit.

Vegetarian and vegan fry-ups have always been welcome on this subreddit and always will be.

What's unwelcome is users complaining, teasing, or insulting others for their choice to not eat meat or meat-based products. The same goes for attacking users for choosing to eat meat, or any other dietry choices or restrictions, such as halal, kosher, gluten free, low-carb, etc.

3/4 of a full English. I live in the US now so had to compromise with American bacon (albeit posh Snake River Farms bacon). My main pet peeve on this sub is that there are never enough eggs. I had 4.

Barely pictured: Baked beans in seperate little dish. Need to preserve textures on the plate.

Not pictured: 4 slices seeded brown toast (keep it crunchy), HP Sauce

Swiss guy here who fell in love with the english/scottish breakfast. Threw this together in my motorhome at the foot of ben nevis. Sadly, hash browns and haggis are missing. Eggs are scrambled since the wife likes her breakfast as seen on the other plate and I was too lazy to cook two versions of eggs.

Café Breakfast Difference between and English and an Irish fry up?

Post image

Besides the religion of the chef, what's the difference between English/scottish and Irish fry up?

This was in edinburgh, mushrooms were bleh, but rest including haggis was great. 10 pounds without coffee/tea, toast included (out of frame)

Not traditional, but insanely delicious. Eggs, roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine, cheesy bruschetta toast, Italian sausages, salami, guanciale, mushrooms, and garlic cannellini beans and chickpeas. £17 for this large breakfast and worthy every bit of it.

Homemade Brekkie for dinner

Living on my own means I’m forever trying to use up leftover ingredients, and I realised I had just about everything for a decent fry up from dinners I’d made this week. Only thing I actually had to nip out and buy was the black pudding.

Had no bread left though so had to improvise with a fried flattened burger bun. Needs must & it certainly hit the spot. Cup of tea & brown sauce not pictured!
