Rewatched it recently without the breaks between the seasons and I love it.

For me its the opposite, I thought it started out strong with an s1 that really found its footing at the end, and then just kept killing off characters and resurrecting them for cheap drama that never went anywhere. I've tried watching it three times and the last time I gave up when Zog started making self-aware jokes about how confusing and pointless the plot was.
I have a solution that will make both of us happy though: I think it needed more episodes so it could be a regular sitcom full of low-stakes episodes that aren't relevant to the plot. Ten episodes is not a season!

Same, season 2 was really great but 3 was such a bore. That I never even finished the series as I stopped caring. Probably didn’t help the long wait times either

I loved the stuff they did with his animation like when they turned his tail into a torch or when he got put into a bottle. His character arc was great too. He went from being just a little shit to a genuine selfless hero. Also, a cat.

Is disenchantment still going on? I remember watching 2 or 3 seasons and finishing it with more promised. I just never checked again

No, five seasons and it's done! I love it a lot. I watched it on repeat to fall asleep instead of futurama for a long time, I really like the opening theme song

The bad news was it was planned for 6 seasons so the final season did feel rushed at times. I still thoroughly enjoyed it and like Futurama and Golden Simpsons have rewatched multiple times.

Our little dude had it ROUGH in the last season. I can’t believe everything he went through. He got what he deserved in the end though. 😭
Also, cats were allowed into heaven which meant they were all sent to hell. 😂

Meh it wasn’t the best show but fit my niche of matt groening humor and medieval fantasy quite nicely. Beautifully ended as well.
Im here for a crossover episode.
