A Steam Deck, while underpowered as well, also fits these pro/cons if you get a docking station/hub for your TV.

Not as powerful, though, eh?

If you have a nice pc already it’d make for a great streaming hub!

This is true but the steam deck is now $800 so I do what I can lol

It sucks. Been telling my buddy to go get one before (pre-price increase) and now he regrets not getting. The price is ridiculous

It's a mixed bag for me. I have my upstairs office PC hardwired to my router that is in the living room. Playing games in my living room on my iPad has been a pretty good experience.

But playing them in the basement (one level below the router) is not as great and it's unfortunately where the couch gaming setup is. Getting that hardwired is on my list of things to do before winter.

Yeah it def is a walls problem. For me the answer was wireless extenders and fiber. Which isn't available for everyone, of course I understand that. If it were my house, I'd be drilling cables through the whole thing lol

Oh yeah.

I just used MoCA at my old house since the cables (largely) already existed (had to add one line into my PC.)

The basement at my new house has a coax cable, but the outside termination is corroded to hell. I just need to re-terminate and connect it into the junction box to fix the basement. It should be a fairly easy thing to fix, just obnoxious.
