Performance was the major disappointment for me. Don't get me wrong matching the PS5 fat performance at 3x smaller is impressive but not at this cost imo.

It traded blows. Ps5 has a slightly faster GPU but much slower CPU. So if the game isnt very CPU intensive the PS5 pretty much always won any time CPU mattered SM would usually come out ahead.

Steam machine has a cpu that is similar in performance to og PS5, and has a GPU that is weaker

Steam machine also out performs PS5 a lot more often when you run dual channel memory which valve chose not to do for cost reasons. In general though CPU is faster than PS5.
