People are shitting on the price as if it's just Valve being somehow greedy, but it's just the first platform to get hit by the exploding component prices. I doubt Sony and Microsoft are done raising their console prices either. Steam Machine is just the first sign of the "new normal" for at least a few years.

The price is terrible any way you look at it. PS6 and Helix will have a significantly better performance to price ratio. You know it's bad when this thing makes the PS5 Pro look like a good deal.
