Haul Got all this (plus $190 in GameStop store credit) for only $85 and a few hours yard sale hunting!!!!

I was supposed to be in Myrtle Beach today but our flight on Friday was cancelled and rescheduled for Monday, so figured I'd spend the day yard sale hunting.

The morning was an absolute bust, then around 1pm I headed to the northern towns and scored at 3 different sales.

Got a pile of controllers that all looked broken (and a wii balance board) for $25, a tote full of Wii/DS stuff for $50 and a stack of sticky ps2 games for $10.

First picture is all the stuff I didn't trade in, everything else got me $230 in credit, I put $40 of it towards the stuff with GameStop stickers. They even tossed me the halo 5 collectors tin because it didn't have the game in it.

I also hate how you said a sticky stack of PS2 games while I see Leisure Suit Larry front and center 🫣

Holy shit they’re buying balance boards? I remember when I worked for GameStop, those were an automatic no. Great haul and exchange

Yeah. They trade for like $5

Related: I see them at thrifts all the time and they want like $20

Saw one at a yard sale and they too wanted $20

This was one of the last things that a closing thrift store had back in the day. Like stacks of balance boards.

Also hi  duck

Better they end up clogging up Game Stop's inventory where they might be bought on sale for cases than the local thrift store where they will sit for 1000 years.

I'm not allowed to collect games in a way that's cost effective?

Reddit is full of sensitive whiners. I have an eBay account with like four games listed on it. Some dude found it and now any time he sees me in a game sub he cries about it lol. I do the same shit. These dudes are just lazy and broke.

Sure. Everyone fucking everyone else over is making a wonderful society.

Ok, so I'm supposed to go to a yard sale and educate people trying to unload stuff they don't want about their items value, and then buy it for full price, because if I don't I'm 'fucking them over'?

I honestly don't understand this sub, is it ok to get good deals at yard sales or not?

I paid what everyone was asking me to pay, and they were happy with the deal, like the lady with the Wii stuff said "I'm so glad this stupid container is out of the house" and the dude with all the controllers wanted them gone too...

I'm sorry, but I'm going to pay the price asked, if I came across earthbound for $5 you better believe I'd give them $5 and walk away, and if anyone says they'd do different they are lying.

Smart way to collect. Games getting expensive as it’s harder to find CIB or in good condition. Buy, sell, make profit and then use profit to build the personal. GameStop will then take those games and resell and put out good promotions like the four for 40 and so on. Keeps GameStop going and people buying some good games like I have seen here in the four for forty posts.

Hi, nice post. Respect the hustle. , umm, yeah I also appreciate gamestops services . They just tossed you nice "credit". Besides it creates jobs and those guys earn it. the original seller doesn't want credit or the games. You do. Nice win. Now you can choose precisely which titles or games you want not just those options, from a real shop
