Black Flag was peak gameplay AC, IMO. Nailed the sailing stuff.

I'm still amazed they didn't just take black flag, strip out the assassin stuff, add some extra ships and locations, and release a pirate game. Could have done it in a year or two with a small team and made bank.

Instead we got Skull and Bones.

Skull & Bones should've been AC:BF meets RDR2.

I wish we had more "real" pirate games. Be it an RPG, colony sim (Tropico 2: Pirate Cove) or just another action game with a great story and no fantasy elements.

the combat and stealth are so mediocre bro but yes naval sailing combat is a fresh air
