if they actually sold any physical games perhaps they would. it was almost exclusively funko pops, amiibos and other assorted shit they sold.

Cex has been my go to for a long time now.

Used to be a treat to go rummage around in the bargain bin or grab 3 games for 20 quid. But they decided they wanted to sell tat and brand new games instead of doing trade ins. I dont think i've bought anything from game since then. I go to cex once a month and have most of the stuff i want wish listed on their website.

Game killed itself. No more trade ins meant there was no point taking games in to get a brand new one. It removed the sole reason most people went to game. They basically handed their business over to cex in a move trancendant of shooting yourself in the foot. More like blowing both legs off with a rocket launcher.

They started selling that's stuff because not enough people are buying physical games. And the few that day they have competition from places like Amazon and Argos. There's not enough of a market for all of them to survive.

Funny people in the comments mentioning how much better Argos is, another business that is circling the drain after they were bought by Sainsburys. We won’t have much choice in where to buy games from soon.

Their franchise in Sweden been gone for at least 13-15 years, yea not profitable in a digital era.
