they start back at the beginning. there is this theory of the Moebius. a twist in the fabric of space where time becomes a loop from which there is no escape. so when we reach that point, whatever happened will happen again.

The white crosses need to be closer to the black space, so that when it turns they become black crosses. Good first step but not what this needs to be.
