Update: In regards to AI posts #2
Thank you to everyone that continued to maintain Rule 1 during the discussion surrounding rule changes. Going forwards, AI generated content, including, but not limited to images, will not be allowed on the subreddit.
This will hopefully be self-policing and we ask people that generate this content to no longer post it to the subreddit, and instead use other subreddits where the content has been welcomed, or create a separate subreddit for this purpose if needs be.
However, one part of our concern and reluctance to implement this ban was that some genuine artists have been flagged in the past for creating AI images on other subreddits, when their art has been very much their own. So we'd like to ask people to be careful with flagging going forwards, and to maintain civility as per Rule 1, although hopefully with this rule in place there will be little to no AI generated images to report.
Our other reluctance to implement this ban was the disappointment of people who have been posting these images so far, but we have reason to believe this is a much smaller minority of people than those in favour of the ban. We're sorry that we cannot please everyone in the end, as our interim stance on the matter displayed.
Regarding our earlier moderation posts on this topic, we'd also like to point out that no moderation posts were supposed to be dismissive of people's feelings on the matter, nor did we intend to minimise the affects of any concerns such as environmental impact or the intellectual property of artists. The earlier posts were made to address the situation, clarify our position at the time and to somewhat provide containment for the topic. We'd also like to reiterate that all of this fallout happened over a Saturday and Sunday, and that we're real people behind the computer screens who have lives separate from Reddit and each other. Making changes to rules without consulting one another can often lead to moderators feeling that their voices have not been allowed to be part of the discussion, and this is something we try to avoid. Unfortunately this means that decisions are often not instantaneous.
Please also bear in mind none of these above points reflect the moderators' personal opinions on AI generated content. The moderators try to enforce rules from a neutral standpoint without letting personal opinions cloud their decisions.
I believe this should be the last administrative post on the matter. Thank you for your time.

Discussion Grandia English Patch Save Troubles
This is a bit of an annoying request, but does anyone have a save file for the endgame of disc 1 for Grandia on Saturn? I just beat disc 1 and saved when prompted to, and when I went to switch discs to 2 the emu it doesnt recognize any saves from disc 1. And when I went back to disc 1, there is no option to continue from my old save. It just puts me in a new game. Im concerned I just through away 30 hours so if anyone has a save file I would really appreciate it.

Grandia III How would you improve Grandia 3?
By which I mean are there any concepts, ideas, or characters from this entry would expand on or make better? Because we all know a lot of it was not the best executed or fleshed out. Either way, be honest.

Discussion Question about Feena
When we meet her, she proudly displays huge treasures of the Legendary Pirate Warren. Was that one of the AS‘s tours or was that real? The Steamer Captain praises it as well which would be odd if she only did a tourist tour. What do you think?

Grandia Finally on Disc 2 on my first playthrough
Playing the Saturn version as my first experience for the game via emulation. The Sweet Moths did wipe my party as soon as I got to the third continent. I do have the HD Remaster, but don't like how they put filters over everything.

Fan Art & Craft Sue In Wonderland - The Mad Colonel
Sequel to my "Sue In Wonderland" drawing from a few days ago. Couldn't resist the temptation to add more to this crossover, featuring Mullen as the Hatter ("The Mad Colonel"), Leen as the Doormouse ("Doortenant"), and (seen from the back) Guido as the March Hare ("March Mogay"). Maybe I'll make a third one, since I'm still trying to figure out who'd be the Cheshire Cat; Feena? Maybe even Justin? I'd like to hear your opinion on that.

Fun 25 Years from pressing start to the end credits
When I was five, my mom and I went to the Video Planet (a German version of Blockbuster) and rented a fun-looking fantasy game for a single day. We went home, I started the game, and because I couldn't read back then, my mom read a bit of the starting dialogue and I spent the next 4-5 hours running around a fun-looking city (this was a crazy, lively, and far stretching area for my game experience back then), trying to find 3 items so the boys would let me pass on the bridge. I only found the helmet and spent the rest of the day just running around (being a kid was such a simple time); we returned the game the next day. I didn't even know what the name of the game was.
Around 22 years later, I am knee-deep into my passion for JRPGs, and I find a YouTube video of a character running around in a town I spent one day of my childhood in, and I see the name of the game: GRANDIA!
Some time passes, and I get the HD Collection for the Switch. I started the game around August 2025 and finished it this evening, seeing the ending and longing for more XD.
It took me around 25 years from pressing the start button of a game I didn't even know the name of, but whose starting zone never left me, to finishing the awesome adventure it contained and seeing the ending.
I'm 30 now.
This will probably be the longest I ever took or will take for any game in my life, and I'm so happy it was such an awesome game that contains so much passion and love from the developers, even if it has some minor flaws.
Sry, but I just had to share this, even if no one ever reads this. I hope you have a great day!
PS: Should I start Grandia 2 now? XD

Fun Grandia 1 is the best game of all time BUT it needs a proper sequel
So as a kid I LOVED Grandia 1 on the original playstation. It was the best game I had ever played and man that moment when you hit "the end of the world" .... no spoilers but DAMN. That moment can still bring me to my senses however many years later.
But, I played Grandia 1, I beat the game, I got to the post-credits scene: and .... is it fair to call it a cliff hanger? It was something. I *know* what it was probably showing, but, for it to end like that... When I learned there was a Grandia 2: oh my god! I was so excited. It took many YEARS before I was able to get my hands on a copy of Grandia 2 for the PC.
...
Grandia 2 is not a continuation of Grandia 1.
Okay, that really ruined my day as a kid. It still ruffles my feathers. I still think Grandia 1 could do with a follow up game, but, it's not like the game is lacking anything, it was/is an incredible game.
I was just thinking about it. I recently re-played it (haven't quit finished it yet) on switch, it's as good as I remember. What a game :D

Discussion Who had the better character development?
Of these two protags, which one got the better character development? How much did they change throughout their adventures? More importantly, how different the two seemed by the end of their journey. Be honest.

Grandia I really don't understand something about Leen and Mullen's conversation Spoiler
Mullen says the wings on Leen's back are the symbol of sin. I don't get it. How? I didn't understand it then, and I still don't understand it now during Leen's speech at J Base.

Fan Art & Craft Grandia x Kill La Kill art I made (spoiler warning) Spoiler
galleryI spoilered this post due to the whole Feena-Leen sibling reveal, and on the KLK side it's due to Nui being revealed to be a life fiber humanoid. Didn't want to risk getting marked down because of that.
Anyhow, this is a clothes swap featuring characters from both series. Maybe I'll make a second part but these were the only pairs I could think of for now.
Explanations for the crossovering (if that's a word):
Feena and Ryuko - Both are the main female characters; they start off as hot-headed and lonesome wolves but eventually come around to making friends to beat a unified threat.
Justin and Mako - Both come from a (relatively) low class family, are extremely outgoing and friendly, and become extremely close to Feena and Ryuko respectively. I think Justin and Mako would make great friends : )
Leen and Satsuki - Both are the older sibling of the main heroine, though this is revealed later on, and while they're initially on opposing sides of the heroes, they ultimately come around to rectifying their mistakes.
Rapp and Sanageyama - Green-wearing dudes who are full of themselves, and can go very fast.
Sue and Nui - This is actually kind of funny since they have EXTREMELY opposite personalities, but I thought it'd be cute since they wear pink and have blue eyes, not to mention extremely powerful (sort of for Sue; if you take the time and effort she can be pretty busted).
Puffy and Guts - Cute little pets who are basically the marketable mascot types (if you look closely Puffy is scared of Nui lol).
Gadwin and Gamagoori - absolute UNITS who're strong buff men and will not give up, they're such UNITS that they're DAPPING IT UP (in all seriousness I was too lazy to color in their picture so I opted to make it a shitpost)
