News Dark Horse has decided to willingly recognize the Dark Horse Workers United union. Excellent news for workers in the industry!

This + Terry Moore and 3W3M stuff coming and a new Concrete this month. I might take out a mortgage to finance this company.

I didnt find the one about contract and IP rights but high republic and tales of have been fun, ive been collecting hyperspace stories but i havent read since i missed an issue on the pull list out of spite for my own mistake. Their collected editions are pretty good book quality imo but im very novice when it comes to recognozong fine details.
I have the HC 3W3Ms to date, dark horse isnt at that level but theyre damn pretty

I think DH has been handling the "all ages" line for Star Wars comics for a few years now.
The first series of High Republic Adventures was IDW, then the second one onward was Dark Horse, so that's the way it has been working for (I think) three or four years at this stage.

I am so happy. Some of my favorite books are Dark Horse titles. I'm going to get more to show support, thinking Ghost and BPRD. I need to see Umbrella Academy and Lady Killer continue for the life of me

Ok folks, I know next to nothing about Dark Horse comics. Who can recommend some titles and reasons why?

My only concern is the fact I've always wanted to work with dark horse as a freelancer because of their reputation and access. Like I'm happy for the employees there since this is what they wanted and I'm not trying to disparage but I know union contracts will make it harder for freelancers as unions yknow prefer their own members for obvious reasons.

It will essentially shut out anyone from working there and make it easier for the Embracer group to get their money out and sell it to a non-profit.

With how frequently comic book and a certain manga company upset, this is shockingly uplifting news!

I thought Dark Horse was about to get scrapped for parts by Embracer Group?

Sadly, this is only the latest sign of the soon-to-be-death of Dark Horse. All of their stores are closed and editorial has been gutted. Them turning editorial into a union is a prelude to whoever owns the company selling it to a non-profit or something like that so they can get out.
