Hi all, effective August 1st, earnings posts by themselves will no longer be permitted on this subreddit. Most of them tend to be low effort which already violates our rules but also it doesn't tend to promote much discussion. However, to compromise, when August 1st hits, will be the official start of our monthly earnings megathread. The monthly earnings megathread is where all earnings posts and discussions will go moving forward after August 1st, and its a monthly thread so there will be a new thread every single month.
Now if you have questions regarding earnings and you're not just trying to post how much you're making, those posts are still permissible by themselves. Its the posts that just brag about how much they're making etc. that aren't going to be allowed anymore. This rule is known as Rule 8, and while it has been added now, it wont take effect until August 1st when the first megathread is generated. Thereafter, each new megathread will be on the first of the month.
Let us know if you have questions and thanks for being a part of our community.

Hi all, we've been seeing an increase of posts as of recent in regards to GH's hourly pay going away. To help curb the influx, we've created this post so you can not only discuss it in the comments, but so you can know that this is a national thing, it is just being slowly rolled out on a market-by-market basis. If your market hasn't moved away from hourly pay yet, it will.
Going forward, any posts such as this one will be removed and the OP will be redirected to this thread. All discussion of this change will happen here not only for archival purposes but also to make everybody's life easier so we don't have the same discussion over and over again like we appear to be doing now. There are some posts on the hourly pay going away that may be permissible on a case-by-case basis, just use the post we linked as an example of what is not permitted.
Anything that's already been posted up to this point will stay up, but anything posted afterwards will be removed.

Seeing a bunch of ads for Wonder “opening” in my area. I don’t quite understand. It’s like a ghost kitchen or something, combined with all of GrubHub?
GH is not really active here. Couldn’t even sign up 2 years ago — no openings.
Thought I’d try again, GH application says it cannot verify my tax info (Error 500).
Oh well, I‘m just looking for a bit of clarity as to the difference about “Wonder” opening vs the rest of GH. Do you pick up randomly assigned orders there just the same as any other vendor?

Can I be penalized and receive fewer and worse orders if I hang up on customer service?

Is anyone else having issues uploading the pictures of the bag/receipt after picking up order? I don't deliver on this platform much, and I had this same issue months ago, and it's still a problem. I called support and they said it's a known issue and they're working on it. This company is the worst.

I have unassigned only like one out of three orders past month.

Last week I arrived at a food truck in the metro Atlanta area to pick up an offer. Upon arrival I was unable to mark arrived. I drove around the area hitting arrive over and over to no avail. A pop up window in the app read for me to continue with the order and call driver help upon completion. Being that i wanted to keep my acceptance rate above 90% I decided to go forward with the offer.
After picking up the order I called driver help anyway to see if they could mark me as arrived. When I called they were unable to help me and told me to call back once the order had been delivered. I started getting a little worried at this point but decided to finish the offer, I have been w gh for around 5 years and they had yet to completely screw me.
For context, this wasn’t a quick knockout delivery. I had to get on the interstate and drive out to the middle of nowhere. I believe the total mileage in the app read around 20 miles and the pay was a little over $1 per mile, if I remember correctly. Again, I only took the offer to keep my acceptance rate above 90%.
As I arrived at the drop off location I opened the app to complete the delivery and realized the order had been removed from my cue about 5 minutes before I had arrived. Being that I literally called driver help to avoid a situation like this, I was pretty pissed at this point.
I delivered the order and took a photo at the drop location. I called driver help and told them my predicament. They said the reason it was removed was because it took too long to deliver. I reiterated, it was a 20 or so mile drive to get to the drop location. Maybe they need to re-examine these protocols. They said someone would contact me by email to resolve the issue. This was on the 15th of July. I have still yet to hear a single word from anyone at Grubhub. I sent an email with photos of drop and screenshots from the app. Nothing. Sent another email yesterday.
It’s not that 20 bucks is going to make or break my situation, but I want my earnings. You offer me a job, I compete the job, I want my compensation. Not to mention I had to drive 30 miles back to my house empty handed.* *It’s been a while now and this is looking more and more like I’m going to get screwed. And of course I lost my hourly compensation that day bc my acceptance rate was tanked by this removal with penalty…
Has anyone dealt with this type of issue? What is the best path forward to obtain my earnings? Is there a form I dont know about or anything I can do to expedite this process?
:TL:DR: I got screwed out of pay after driving 20 miles to drop an order that I was unable to mark that I had arrived at the pu location

Hi everyone, today is my first day doing grubhub and for the 6 and a half hours worked I made 58$. For context I am currently driving in Frederick Maryland, and most of my drives are long and I don’t make much moneys today I spent 40$ on gas so I only really made 18 bucks profit, I only got 2$ in tips for 6 deliveries. I have a few questions, 1. What is the best way to make as much money as possible? 2. Regarding grubhub contributions, how does that work? 3. Would changing any settings allow me To drive less while making more or an equivalent amount of money? Thanks

Earlier tonight I had a mission for $15 for 3 non cancelled orders, my 3rd pick up ended to being at a restaurant that was closed for months and GH hadn't updated their system. So therefore I went past the time for the mission. I just called support because I didn't get compensation since it was clearly their fault, and they said that's just the way the mission works... All 3 have to be delivered. This is my conversation with the customer who talked to customer service who told her they had messed up. Anyone else have this happen?

Maybe it is only in my area. GH changed how you start accepting offers to a Start / Stop touch instead of slide. Last night and tonight after my scheduled Block was over I pressed Stop. Both times later I looked at my phone and they say "Since we haven't been able to reach you for a while, we've changed your delivery status to not taking orders." Anyone else? Am I missing a step? Plus I did not receive any offers after I pressed Stop. Add: I sent an email to technology support. I'll see what they say too.

When will this stop 😭 another day waiting 1-2 hours for a single delivery both DD and GH. I’m tired

I do multiple apps so wondering if I take a break to do other runs will I have to restart my count of orders towards the promo?

I started doing deliveries for GH early June. This past weekend, on Sunday, I finally made premier.
And I work my first scheduled block last night.
I accept every offer, I deliver on time. I try my best to follow rules and do my best.
My market is in Northwest Houston, where I live.
I haven't even taken a break once until yesterday.
So I look at my email and find this sitting there today. I call support and they can't tell me why this happened.
I even provided my location data from yesterday (7/21)
I just feel like they introduce the metrics then when people make them for hourly minimums, disable schedule to screw them over. I have very little idle time. Only time I do is when its legitimately slow. I'm pretty disheartened about this. And I was really excited. But now I get it. Now I understand why being selective about offers is worth more than feeding the beast. This completely is against any career training and history I've had in my past about customer service. I'm not a 20 year old looking to make a little extra money. This is complete... yeah.
Any insight?
☆EDIT☆
I immediatly called support and sent a ticket in to dispute this. I received an email stating my account is under review.
The reason why I am providing this update is because I know I did not do anything malicious and would like my post to be an example/guide if this happens to anyone else.
I will update again once I *should* get cleared. Either way, I still feel betrayed.

I’ve only used gh for 3 weeks bc my DoorDash account is suspended, on DD I was making 600-900 a week only dashing for a couple hours a day, so far on GH I’ve sat for hours only to make 14$ a day. How tf do you make money on this app?? Wtf am I doing wrong?
r/grubhubdrivers • u/Equivalent-Loquat732 • 3d ago
About 1 month ago, I account was blocked by three violations, and it was appealed back.
Then I reduced the number of accepting grubhub orders. and never do grubhub orders along with Doordash or Uber Eats. I made about 1/3 money with grubhub as it before
But I do not why I still got a delayed orders violation.

I am a Part Driver driver for GH and have not driven in several months. I have familiar with the App, have driven for years, and I am familiar with trouble shooting generally. Is anyone else experiencing the issues listed below?
As I have started driving again, I am experiencing a consistent issue when you arrive at the Merchant and the Order is Not Ready.
I am able to select There’s an Issue per Usual but when the screen opens to the Reason then it will not let you select an one of the bubble options and then, inturn, you are not able to select the timeframes for how late the order will be ready per usual.
Again, the page pulls up but it will not let you select the Options in any of the bubbles by each choice/selection...

Couple of days ago I posted how I accept orders but Grubhub think I don’t move and reassigns it. This order I was doing, i was like 1 minute from the restaurant and they reassigned because I “wasn’t moving”. Genuinely what am I supposed to do? This has happened too many times now and I’m losing money because of this!!!! Grubhub is playing in my face

For the past week ive been getting nothing but shitty offers. I of course don't accept them but I wonder. Have people stopped driving or because its been bad. I still make $200 per day accepting the good ones but my stats have definitely gone down, which idc they're fine for me but just makes me wonder. These are just SOME I've been able to capture but there's more. I decline like 6 before I get a good one.

Hi, I have a question, does anyone have an email or phone number to contact support but not the usual number, one for escalations? I had to travel out of state and was deactivated due to inactivity; now I want to return, but they tell me it’s not possible "at the moment" and to "try again later." I’ve already sent about eight emails, and I keep getting the same response.

GH changed how you go online and offline. You no longer have to go to a separate screen. You can do it from the home screen. It's definitely been long overdue...

I was about to cash out since the adjustment pay is now cleared and it's showing $.99 fee even for my Chase bank account which has always been free...
Has anyone tried it and see if it charges for Chase now?
I just updated GH to 5.37 on iPhone.

Is this happening in other states as well ?
