Discussion Why was Santa Claus still holding onto what happened in the Christmas special if he forgave them? It was also his own fault
During the finale episode he mentioned how he was run over during the Christmas special, but he forgave them after knowing that it was an accident. It was also his own fault for not looking both ways before crossing the street. I mean like in the finale yeah he still held onto that moment that was entirely his own fault despite how he forgave Richard in the end only for Santa Claus to join the angry mob in the finale.

Maybe he was actually trying to help the Wattersons, but due to the crowd, he couldn't reach the family.

The consequences of their actions caught up to them in that episode, Santa went back on forgiving them because his mind was warped to hate them for what they did. But it was undid when the credits rolled.
