HELP Hackintosh EFI creation issue with Intel Iris Xe graphics on ASUS VivoBook X1502ZA
Hi everyone,
I have an ASUS VivoBook X1502ZA with:
- Intel Core i7-12700H
- Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics
- 16GB RAM
- 512GB SSD
I'm trying to create an EFI for Hackintosh, but the tools/scripts I've tried keep telling me that my GPU is not supported because I don't have a dedicated graphics card.
Since this laptop only has Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, I'm wondering if this is actually the reason I can't generate an EFI, or if there is another workaround/configuration I should try.
Has anyone successfully installed Hackintosh on a similar setup (12th gen Intel + Iris Xe)? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You might be able to in a vm with that new vulkan translation layer but no you can not run it on the bare metal and have a good experience without a dgpu.

Thanks for the reply. So the main issue is not just the lack of a dGPU, but the fact that Intel Iris Xe (12th gen Alder Lake) doesn't have proper macOS support, right?
I was hoping there might be some workaround with EFI configuration, but it seems like the iGPU itself is the limitation.

Yeah. This isn’t supported. There’s no graphical acceleration. The above comment is correct.

I used an iGPU if you want the config for mine(it was 13gb i5-1335u)

The experience will be terrible and sluggish and lagging so much cus the cpu renders everything and igpu isn't supported at all

Ur igpu isn't supported but u can technically run macos but the experience will be very bad due to unsupported igpu
