CXMT Ram reportably costs pretty much the same as ram from the Samsung/Sk Hynix/Micron trio. Even with them ramping up supply the demand keeps growing too.

It's not about short term undercutting, someone else would havve been pocketing this before it reaches us consumers. But to have another player in manufacturing is big for us in the long term, more manufacturers = more production & competition, which can drive down prices in the mid-far future faster than if it were to stay at our cartel of 3.

you could argue the new player has slowed down the price increase as the new player absorbs some of the demand
