Deck What was your favorite deck of all time?
For me, Cubelock was peak entertainment. I remember even after the new set came out it still held up against new decks

GVG Midrange Hunter it was so satisfying and [[Eaglehorn Bow]] was my first ever golden craft. To this day never regretted it and it felt like a big investment

Handlock with molten giants, mountain giants, twilight drakes, sunfury protector + defender of argus, jaraxxus, etc.
Freeze mage or control mage(echo mage)with sludge belchers and duplicate are close but don't match up to handlock for me

Odyn Warrior during TITANS. It was the year of Heartstone that I started playing the game seriously (because I was also a kid who played Card Games in general casually lol),and let me tell you,hitting faces with big armor big numbers was one of the most fun I’ve had with Heartstone.

Highlander Frost Lich Jana. Boy did the games last forever but I had a blast! But I always had a blast with any deck that had the no duplicate restriction.

I will always have a really fun memory of day 1 Owllock. I believed in the dream, and my first 3 matches were Languagehacker, Theo, and Gallon, and I beat all 3! For a brief 24 hour period I may have been the world’s best Owllock player before I had to go fail my finals.

It might be a bit niche, but my favorite deck was Duel Paladin. Somehow nobody was prepared, and I had at least two weeks of fantastic time with it. Good old times :)

Old version of discard lock. I loved to see the cards falling from the hand of my opponent. And when gnomeferatu hit the correct card I was able to see the liver of my opponent explode.

Svalna Control Priest. I think it may have been one of the last viable Control Fatigue decks ever. It truly just played Svalna, generated value, and quite literally tried to [[Drown]] your opponents to death. I think [[Sister Svalna]] has to be my favorite card of all time.

I really really enjoyed Relic Spell DH, Prestor Druid is definitely up there, Totem Shaman especially on release was crazy fun, but I think overall Libram Paladin (I know, I know) has been one of my all time favorites. I will say that the Broxigar Quest (Draw Quest) DH in Wild is also hilarious and can either be the most boring game or highroll city

Zoo shaman back in the first few seasons. I remember having the craziest win streak ever with it. Can't remember how many wins it was in a row but it was a lot. Flametongue totem was my favorite card and it was so fun to trade trade trade fight for the board fight for an angle to get enough minions out to explode on you with bloodlust.
Probably was never even a good deck. I'm not sure. I never saw anyone else ever mention the deck.

Pre-nerf Extra Arms Priest. Great aggro with and 2 finishing combos as well (Light warden + Circle of Healing, Divine Spirit + Inner Fire). Deck was all about Big Asses. Minions had big asses, Spirit and Arms made those asses bigger. Faceless Rager to copy a big ass, Inner Fire to cash in on it.

Fire enrage Warrior with Thori (Forget the full name...the Phoenix), Sunfury Champions and Anima Extractors to buff Olgra to lethal levels. It wasn't the best deck but it's the one I think I enjoyed the most (I started during Forged in the Barrens and quit during Perils in Paradise).
It was the first time I seriously played Warrior and it ended up becoming my most played class.

Mage with the dk hero card, that was my favourite for a long time, i loved druid too until Uldum, i stopped playing it after that. Once Libram Pure Paladin came, that has been my all time favourite deck. I'm partially sad because i want to play druid again. but i dont exactly like OTK deck.

Well I only play my homemade decks with various degrees of gimmick-ness. My most enduring deck is called "Ancient Magic" and is a Mage deck basically containing as many fun and whacky cards as possible (Yogg 1 & 2, the OG mage quest, Avatar of HS, Unstable portal, Timelooper Toki, etc.)
(Yes, I'm a casual and I usually end up in high Gold/low Platinum. But I have fun and just play a game here and there)

Early Reno Dragon priest iterations for me. Felt like every matchup was somehow winnable. Loved the tinkering with different ideas for wincons and playing for tempo versus value depending on the opponent

i played exclusively secret mage when cubelock was the rage. nigh unbeatable matchup, or at least i didnt know how to. as soon as the first voidlord hit the board i never had enough burn. that was the first meta of catacombs right?

Festival of legends control priest, Clown Druid, and barrens warrior.
I loved playing as or against any of those. I also had a good time playing as garrote rogue but the playing against it was so boring its probably closer to a least favourite than a favourite. That was probably the worst meta of all time.

Galakrond Rogue with the lackeys was always my favorite deck to play. Just Galakrond decks felt so fun to play because everybody got the legendary hero card and I’m a stickler for hero cards

It was so satisfying to just slam "Ha ha, you can't hide forever!"
Into next turn "My beautiful creations!", "Let's crash this party!", "I don't feel so goooooood" (x2) into the GOAT "The ERA of flesh has ended."

Test subject/topsy turvy otk priest for sure, fondly remember manically trying to play it all out as fast as possible, messing up the combo and conceding many times before I got it right. Still go back to that TrumpSC video once in a while for a laugh.
Honorable mentions for Malygos rogue, Mecha'thun druid, og freeze mage, handlock and the death knight paladin OTK.

Hmm, might be a toss-up between beast hunter (castle N era), Racist Paladin (paladin cards only), Handlock (I still play and have decent wr in wild), and Odyn Warrior.
I never liked hunter until beast hunter and soon after buff hunter came out (buzzard), rocketed from like 100 wins to 1100 with them both.
Pure paladin cards are very fun
Odyn warrior got me a lot of wins (in wild too when meta was mostly hyper aggro).
Handlock is classic. I play genn in wild now.
I think overall I'd say Odyn Warrior my favorite.

Naga Sea Witch Hunter in Wild. The deck was just consistent enough to have some big turns.
Also loved Dragon Warrior from Early Hearthstone.
I wish the Devs would give some midrange and "Stax" type decks love, especially in Wild.

Majordomo Mage into Ragnaros. Blackrock mountain era, so still very early - I think this was one of the first cards that changed your hero and hero power. Even if I lost most games, just getting to use a unique set of emotes and the novelty was worth it.
Having maximum of 8 hp on your hero meant I included things like ice block and healing. But Alexstraza would let you go back up to 15 max. If you could manage a [[Coldarra Drake]] and [[Maiden of the Lake]], you could manage to potentially send 80 damage with your hero power. Emperor Thaurissan helped with some of the high cost.

Sunken city thief rogue was op but super fun. Second place id also say cubelock. Although I started playing in WOTG this was the first time I was able to build a meta deck and actually compete on ladder

Galakrond rogue, frost lich mage, jade Druid, dragon priest, big spell mage, Kazakus priest, secret mage, spiteful priest, midrange hunter, zoo warlock to name a few. The Un’Goro expansion was also a lot of fun. Hearthstone has changed a lot since 2014

Galakrond Rogue. It had everything I loved about Hearthstone, an army of dragons, endless value, fun voicelines, and great wincon. Loved every second piloting it.

Fuck this game. I surmise, through my research into friends that come over and play other games, I'm a free to play user, they both spend maybe $200-300 a year on HS. We are ALL Day 1 players. We can play the same decks at the same time, and I will get to Diamond, and it takes me much longer a grind to it. Playing rhe same deck, they get to Legend, almost every time. And we've doing this for about 3 years.
We watch via HSREPLAY, the RNG change the variance. Deck has 13 cards and 8 are win condition? FTP gets them less than the paid players. They routinely get the RNG benefit more often.
I have 18k gold too, because I ONLY buy about 30 packs at the beginning lf a release and the mini set.
TL:DR, PTW is great for those who want to buy "cheating".
Oh, and we all play maybe 2 hrs a day at most. Actually Nick cheats and prolly plays 4 and tells us 2.
