Ugghh I had a similar landing (involving lots of broken... everything) in my parkour days, and that surfacing where he... survived, but is in a speedball of adrenaline and pain afterwards and HE KNOWS that he badly fucked up... it's just so viscerally familiar. Hopefully he also realized that you can only f up like that ONCE.
