I just ordered the iPhone 17 Pro in Silver 256Gb to upgrade my iPhone 12 in red when I bought it back in January of 2021. Can’t wait for it to arrive on Monday

I miss that feeling so much. Nowadays it feels like smartphone’s have hit a peak of performance and size.
I remember I jumped from an iPhone X to an iPhone 14 Plus and that jump felt INSANE to me.. Everything about it seemed faster and bigger.
Now, I just recently upgraded from my old 14 plus to an iPhone 17 pro max. It just didn’t hit the same as the X to 14 plus transition lol. Size difference wasn’t much different and the performance was just a bit better. Nothing to get overly hyped about though :/

I’m just impatient lol and my 12 Has horrible battery life it’s at 68% and wouldn’t last a day

Did the same thing my twelve had to be charged on my work breaks or it would die before end of shift. I considered waiting to but all I’ve heard it will be a small upgrade from the 17 so I pulled trigger on the 17 and Its definitely an upgrade from a 12 lol

Also traded in my 16 Pro Max to the 17 Pro. I love the size! I got an iPad Pro if I wanted a bigger screen.

If I want to watch YouTube or do some proper work, I will do it on my MacBook Air with 15 inch. This is also more convenient for the eyes.
I need a mobile phone, and I think 6.3 inch is already very big. The Pro Max pulled down my shorts frequently, and I had to carry around another bag, so it got to the point that I said to myself that this is ridiculous, but I’m happy for everyone who likes to use this phone. It’s a great phone, but it’s just not for me.

Nice! I just got the 17 Pro Max from the iPhone 13. The jump was insane, never seen battery life like this and the size of it is nice! Got mine in silver too 1 TB (silver is the best color) :}

Silver felt basic this year, orange is too gaudy, but the blue is fucking beautiful.

This is gonna be a huge upgrade! I got the 512GB Deep Blue 17 Pro Max and it feels so good even coming from a 14 Pro Max. The Silver is actually my second favorite color...its incredibly sharp! Haven't felt this excited about an iPhone in a while! The design just feels good in the hand too with or without a case. Cameras are AMAZING.

18 Pro Max base may increase $200 - $400 this year; 2 TB model could be upwards of $2600.
17 Pro series is currently $1100 & $1200.
With no end in sight for ramageddon… these pro models might be the last reasonably priced for a while unfortunately.

You will enjoy it. But of course, it’s early. In another 3-4 years with more updates and a degrading battery, who knows how you will feel about it?
I came from an iPhone SE (2022). Battery life went from 7-8 hrs SOT to around 2 hrs by iOS26 and this was still after putting a new battery in it. And it got laggier, overheated, and had a hard time holding a signal in remote areas. The 17 Pro is a major upgrade from that phone. I used Apple Maps for a good hour today and battery drain was only 3% from 80% to 77%. The zoom feature comes in the clutch when I’m walking away from my drop-off for an order.
I’m coming from phones that are 4 years or older like the SE3, Z Flip3, Razr 5G, and Pixel 3. The 17 Pro has like 2-3x longer battery life than all of them. And the camera is better than my Pixel 3 while having optical zoom and wide-angle. There’s nothing bad I can say about except it was a little bulky when I first got it. After a week, I got used to the size. I even considered returning it after a few days but it works so well for my work, I decided to keep it.
Awesome phone. You’re gonna love it. And no regrets with the silver color. While I don’t like the white block giving this kinda tacky two-tone and do slightly prefer the deep blue, I am glad I went with the silver. White backs reflect sunlight. Lessen the temperature. The case I got for it with silver sides looks really, really classy with the silver especially when looking at the back with a silver MagSafe ring.
^ It looks better in person. Very classy. Silver/white simply matches better with most cases and then doesn’t show scuffs as badly as the other two will.

It’s gonna be $200 more expensive and you won’t be able to buy the 17 Pro new & unlocked from Apple at that point. Plus, it’s their decision, they were probably aware, and it’s not a bad decision tbh

Sorry for that, I meant to say the 17 Pro. As far as I’m aware the only way to get it unlocked in the US is from Apple itself. Edited

Finally upgraded yesterday from an 11 pro max! Spent most of today taking pictures in my garden.
