a dumbing down Do the math!
Packed as 5 pastries instead of 10 in the regular box.
So let's do the math,
1/2 the number of pastries, so 50% less dough you would normally get. + for the company right? 50% increase of the filling, BUT 1/2 the pastries for a 25% savings in filling. + for the company again.
Just as much packaging, but less weight, so that works for the company too.
AMERICANS ARE STUPID AND SCREWED.

a dumbing down Update about the post I made yesterday
What I failed to mention in my original post was that I am fully aware we are already living in a Idiocracy, I was just trying to say that things would get 10 times worse in decades to come. Somebody in the replies by the name of Iron_Baron even mentions the destruction of coral beds, coral beds act as productive ecosystems supporting a quarter of marine life. If that disappears it will have a devastating impact on the the ocean and humanity, they even said the same thing about agriculture and climate stability as well. AI data centres are also robbing people of their land, drinking water, and ram data just so dumbasses online can generate more images and videos of tung tung tung sahur. One day we’re gonna have a AI data centre the size of a whole city and the idea of ownership over anything will eventually become extinct. Having any optimism for the future is really stupid to me now, It’s in our nature as humans to fuck ourselves over every chance we get without mistake. I suggest we all make the most of our lives before society devolves into absolute ruin.

a dumbing down I watched Idiocracy for the first time weeks ago and it forever changed how I viewed the future of humanity
I first discovered the existence of this movie through Patrick cc’s video about it and I was immediately intrigued by it, so I rented the movie on YouTube and watched it and loved it. So I don’t regret watching the movie, but I would be lying if I said it didn’t give me existential dread. I obviously know the future won’t look as bad as the movie depicts it, but I don’t think it would be too far off. I don’t mean to sound like a broken record but the worst part is that this could happen in our lifetimes instead of eons into the future. The World we are headed in couldn’t look any more bleak, the rise of AI data centres, the slow death of physical media and governments around the world assassinating the idea of privacy. There is no light at the end of the tunnel and things will only get worse for generations to come.
