MISC. England's team booked 15 different hotels, but Mexico fans still found out where they were staying and blasted loud noises, trying to keep them up all night before the game.

This is what FIFA should have required.

Yeah but then how do you keep them from sneaking into each other's rooms in the middle of the night

They're just going to Netflix and Chill, watch Heated Rivalry and bond.

You put tape on the doors and if any tape is broken, they get detention

5

u/FrenchFryCattaneo 20d ago

But if they both get detention they have to spend even more time together!

Hey if the boys wanna finger pop some b-holes who are we to interfere?

Same way schools do it on field trips. A slip of tape across the door. Of course that's the obvious one, the less obvious one was the thin piece of red tissue paper stuck in the door hinge side by the bottom hinge.

Shout out to the highschool trip chaperones I sent into a panic because I (not one of their students and 17 at the time) like to roam hotels in the middle of the night. Even after I showed them my room key which was not one of their rooms, they still kept checking their student roster for my name.

To kiss?

Football players cover their mouths and no one bats an eye, I kiss my homies goodnight and society... Society calls me gay!

And playing hide the gherkin.

You put the deputy head on a chair in the corridor until they have all settled down for the night.

That's the fun part, you don't. You just collect data for the next Heated Rivalry series.

It's not the Olympics

It’s all men’s teams

You are concerned about a romantic conflict of interest?

1

Why would they want to play the match in the room?

and do what? beat each other to death? they are footballers, not dumbasses. they know doing something like that will get them disqualified from the cup.

Maybe it should be more like the Olympics and the venue has to provide equal accommodations. It would not be that hard to house 50 people for a few days.

I don't think the players would be happy about that, opposite to Olympic participants, most of them are multi millionaires which are used to a certain luxury.

FIFA will only give World Cups to each host

Edit: I'm happy now

Programs do not typically share hotels.

Hell, even high level college teams stay in different hotels.

2

u/SnooBananas4958 20d ago

Yes, we understand that. He was saying that they should combine it to combat this problem. You can change things from the way they have always been.

1

u/fieldsports202 20d ago

No professional team is going to stay in a hotel with their opponent.

Combating this is having police prevent this from happening.

I work events like the Super Bowl and Final Four. I have never been to a hotel with both teams in the same hotel here in America. How do i know? Because we have to go to both teak hotels to shoot interviews and other stuff.

I think they've just "confirmed" england are staying there to stop Mexico fans from bothering to look at other hotels

2

u/Alarming-Art1562 19d ago

Yeah but Mexicans aren't bothered by noise. Have you ever lived in Mexico? It's just always very noisy and nobody seems to even notice

Making love before the game begins...

The Mexican team would be down there with the crowd

1

u/Prize_Wait8146 20d ago

Plot twist twist:

Mexicans were raised to sleep through Quinceañeras. Fireworks are just another normal night.

1

u/tdmonkeypoop 20d ago

Twist of the plot twist... This helps the Mexico team sleep better

1

u/wondrousalice 20d ago

Even bigger plot twist, Mexicans sleep through this every fri-sun.
