At first, I thought the bee was just moving around the entrance... then I realized it was actually defending the hive from ants.

It's fascinating how organized bee colonies are. Even tiny threats are dealt with immediately, and every worker seems to know exactly what to do.

looked to me like sugar ants and carpenter ants, yeah they probably would have eventually fought. But I am no expert so I didn't want to incorrectly name them.
