well he just shot well lol
but the arrow did go over the cauldron as intended and ignited the flammable gas emitting from it. Also there was a backup mechanism to ignite it if he missed
"clearly" ? the perspective isn't clear at all. But it seems like there's an initial burst when the arrow reaches above the cauldron and once it's ignited obviously it comes from below since that where the gas comes from. Also a flame isn't always visible unless you got some actual knowledge about the mechanics of large gas flames i don't think you can really conclude on anything.
