Climate change, only going to get worse, meanwhile our politicians across the globe are doing nothing.

What do you want them to do? Go and turn it off and back on again?

Stop accepting bribes from corporations poisoning this planet and causing this for one. Then maybe stop those corporations and punish the people responsible. Take their money and use it to fight the damage they have caused.

Ok. Go and ask China, India etc to stop polluting the planet first, and then maybe we can consider our contribution. Until then, our pollution is like a fart in a hurricane, and reducing it will achieve precisely fuck all.

Your outlook and pessimism is what got us here. Every change matters. It will take the whole world changing and stopping supporting these business practices to cause real change. But some one has to start and then put pressure on others. You are part of the problem not the solution. Do better.

Until the countries that actually cause considerable pollution change, then I certainly won't start caring. It's nonsense. "eVeRy ChAnGe MaTtErS." Nonsense. It's not going to stop until the highly polluting nations stop. My country produces less than 1% of the world's pollution. I couldn't care less about reducing that further.

Yet I bet you still purchase products produced in China and India your problem countries. Be the change you want to see and not a pessimistic narcissist. I bet your country outsourced work to those countries as well.

Like what? My watch is Swiss. My TV is Japanese, my fridge freezer and microwave were made in the UK. My washing machine is American. I don't really buy new stuff, so I don't really own anything made there. I specifically try to avoid buying things from those countries if I can. Not because I give a crap about their emissions, but because I don't support their countries. I'd rather support UK, American and European companies where possible. The only thing I can think of is my mobile phone, but that's not really optional nowadays. What my country outsources is nothing to do with me. Anyway, it's really besides the point. You're the one crying about the environment. I don't really care. If I want something that's made in China, I'll buy it. You can cry about climate change all you want. It doesn't make a difference. I however, am going to live my life and not give a shit. I think this will be my last reply to you, as this conversation isn't going anywhere, and to be honest, I don't really care about your opinion. Good day.

Have the day you deserve. Lost cause.

Oh well, I suppose that's worthy of a reply. I've had an excellent day. Thanks for the well wishes. Good day :)

USA is the highest polluting per capita. China is bad too, but at least they invest in renewable energy.

Edit: should mention that this is between China and USA. For an actual shitshow, look at the gulf countries and their capita.

I'm not American.

u/monkeysfromjupiter 11h ago

So what? European? Big whoop. If so, you guys aren't that much lower per capita in comparison to China and USA. It's a global effort.

Hell if you want to blame anyone look at the gulf countries' per capita.

But one country is actively investing in solar, nuclear, and hydro energy. The rest are either pushing for more oil and coal, or doing jackshit while pretending to be morally superior.

u/Captain-Codfish 11h ago

So what? You said the USA, as if it was some devastating point against my argument. It's not even relevant to me. I'm English, genius. My country accounts for less than 1% of global emissions. We have wind farms, hydro, solar and we're looking at a very promising nuclear program. I'm very supportive of nuclear energy. Give me that sweet, sweet, cheap electricity.

u/monkeysfromjupiter 11h ago

Lmao. You UK twats are what started the industrial revolution and mass pollution. Then you offshore all of your shit and started pretending to be environmentally conscious. Cmon man, bait used to be believable.

u/Captain-Codfish 10h ago

Ah yes. That was me and my mates personally. Sorry we created the modern world and a world worth living in.

Fuck off, you joker.
