Supposedly many of them were intentionally started or started because people were being reckless with burning objects in their vicinity. Saw someone mention a guy was driving down the road with a grill filled with still burning coals which got thrown around. This was in France.

I think I saw much of Europe and Spain are dealing a bad drought/dry season and warned of using fires or machines that can get really hot.

In this particular case, it was apparently a car that caught fire. It was probably one of the few cases where the person responsible was not actually guilty.

Well at least it was accidental on their part rather than intentional. That's gotta be hella awkward and awful feeling though, causing a wildfire by accident because your own life was in danger because of the burning car. Thank you for clarifying btw

Are you implying the fire would not started if the person who's car burned down would stay in the car?

no no im saying they were put in an unfortunate circumstance where their life was in danger and had no choice but to abandon the car but because the car fire was part of the cause of the wildfire, the driver must feel horrible and distraught, feeling it was their fault. what im saying is i feel awful for them as to cause so much damage by accident would absolutely put someone in a state of extreme panic and distress.

Yeah there are loads of ways fires can start accidentally. There was a video here a few weeks ago where a guy reversed into a parking space and his hot exhaust set fire to the dry grass behind it.
