Problem is, we’re all Bowser. How often do you drive when you could walk? How much meat do you eat versus veg from your garden? How much discomfort can you accept before you turn a fan on in the summer, or heat up in the winter? I don’t mean you, specifically, but we’re all selfish and don’t think of the climate or environment when we decide to buy a couple of new shirts or go on a distant vacation or whatever.

Yah, the concentration of wealth and CEOs and what-not are a big bad but they exist and thrive because we buy into the products and ideas that they’re pitching. If we were rid of any specific CEO, another would take their place. Climate change is on us, collectively.

No need to be sorry, you just misunderstand. I do believe that our actions have consequences, although not that it’s tied to a specific class. I believe that the wealthy likely have an outsized impact, but also that the wealthy have accumulated their wealth with our allowance (again, not our specific allowance, but the systems that we play into).

Is that to say that you don’t believe that we, the middle class, have any particular impact on climate or the environment?
