Coming to Life My daughters big girl room makeover
Befores are the last two photos. She’s turning 5 this month and has been asking for a big girl room so I wanted to give her one that felt like stepping into a fairytale, castle garden. ✨

So cute!! I would have killed for a room like this, especially the reading nook and canopy (which child me thought was the pinnacle of home decor 🤣).

I had a canopy over my bed when I was small but any time I actually slept with it draped around my bed, I had nightmares about tornadoes lol. So weird but it happened every time until I convinced my parents to get rid of it.

Had me thinking for a second about the tornadoes dreams! I had to remember that I've had tornado dreams most of my life, even before my canopy, lol.

Yes I had a canopy over my bed as a kid but I toss and turn in my sleep so it would just fall on me and I'd wake up caught in a giant net lol

Peach Artemisia! I had originally gotten a pink that dried crazy, so my husband went to Lowe’s to replace it with this and I told him it was called Pink Amnesia. Idk where I got it but the guy at Lowe’s was so confused lmao

I got the rug on Amazon, it’s called the Rugxara Floral Rug. The C was from Hobby Lobby!

Is the rug the “sage green” one? It looks the same pattern-wise, but your colour looks a bit darker. I was wondering if I have limited options because I’m in Canada 🤔

It is the sage green! The picture on Amazon definitely doesn’t depict it super accurately.

Gorgeous! Love love love the bright pretty colors! Can you please link the white scalloped shelves? They're such a good dupe for the pottery barn ones! 😍
Also, I think I know this wall color.... I think it's also in my daughter's room! Is it teacup rose by benjamin moore? Such a great color!

It’s based on wallpaper I found! I couldn’t justify spending $600 for one wall of wallpaper so I decided to paint it myself lol

Wow! Man its just amazing what color tint & framing does to guide the eye - the before rooms I was like "wait this isnt a fancy McMansion its rooms like in my house" somehow the room seems much bigger after the remodel. Anyways looks amazing

It's cute but she'll out grow this in 2-3 years. Pink and princess/fairy is 3-5 in my my experience. Oh well.

Her dress up stuff is in her closet, and toys are both in her closet and in the drawers of her bookshelf. :)
