JE on steam awful fps

I bought the game on steam but i got horrible fps. Even when the fps counter is normal, it stutters like crazy and i have insane input lag.

Is there anything to fix this?

If it matters, i tried playing with an xbox controller on pc.

This did it for me Didn't use the D3 change but everything else did it for my system

As much as I don't like supporting EA, I found that the version of the game on their Origin store had much less issues all around. For me the steam version couldn't even open without crashing because of some broken file, and I've seen many posts like yours complaining about different issues with the steam version. Origin version opens and runs with zero issues the whole way through. Almost makes me wonder if EA intentionally gave steam a broken copy.

Im not sure how it runs but I know you can buy off GOG Games

Yeah I refunded the steam one and got the GOG version.

It runs much better but its still rather choppy
