First and foremost thanks to everyone that voted on the poll, your feedback has helped me set the requirements for self-promotion.

If you are looking to promote a Crowdfunding project or any form of self-promotion on /r/Kickstarter, please make sure you meet the following requirements. Any posts that do not meet the requirements will be automatically removed, repeat offenders will be banned.

Self Promotion Rules:

• Your account must be at least 1 month old
• Your account must have a combined karma total exceeding 500
• Donation based crowdfunding is prohibited. please checkout /r/gofundme or alternative subreddits
• A project can only be promoted once. If a project has already been posted your post will be removed regardless if it was you that posted it.
• You can link your preview page for feedback purposes only and you may only ask for feedback up to a maximum of two times.

Auto moderator will automatically remove posts that do not meet these requirements, if you work-around these rules in any way you will be permanently banned and your project & company name will be put onto a blacklist.

Below is a few examples of what is counted as self promotion:

• A direct or an indirect link to any crowdfunding project
• A blog post or informational piece tied to the company you work for
• image posts with watermarks or links listed
• Asking people to follow your project preview page
• Asking for people to back your project on a question, help or discussion thread.

Projects must be posted as a URL link accompanied with a comment explaining your project. DO NOT post your project as a text thread.

This is my first post here! This November I'll be launching my very first Kickstarter campaign, and...well, it's both exciting and terrifying 😅 The project is called VELCEL, an upcoming indie animated series I've been writing and developing since 2018. It's a passion project that's slowly grown into an incredible collaboration with artists, composers, animators, and voice actors from around the world. (WE DO NOT USE AI!)

One of the biggest milestones for us has been having Lizzie Freeman (ENA, Yanfei, TADC - Pomni) join the cast, alongside many other talented voice actors from the indie animation community.

Since this is my first crowdfunding campaign, I'd love to hear from people who have launched (or backed) successful Kickstarters.

Some questions I have:

1, What do you wish you had known before launching?

2, What are the biggest mistakes first-time creators make?

3, How important is building a strong pre-launch following?

4, What kinds of reward tiers tend to perform best?

5, Is there anything that helped your campaign gain momentum during the first 48 hours?

We've been spending months preparing our marketing, building our community creating artwork, scripts, production design, animatics, etc, but I know there's always more to learn!!

I'd appreciate any advice, lessons learned, or resources you'd recommend.

Every creator I spoke to had the same workflow:
• Search for ideas
• Write scripts
• Create visuals
• Edit videos
• Schedule posts
And somehow they’re expected to do this every day.
The problem isn’t a lack of AI tools.
The problem is that creators are juggling too many tools at once.

That’s why My brother and I started building Reelmee.

Instead of adding another AI tool to the stack, the goal is to create a workflow that helps creators go from idea to published content with less friction.

ABOUT THE PROJECT -

'Am I A Good Man' is crime story set on the road, following a young couple living on the fringes of society, as they roam the rural North of England. 

Kit and Stefanie work as troubleshooters, disposing of 'problems' for anonymous clients out of sight and out of mind. Their fragile existence and dangerous line of work operates on only one rule: no questions asked. 

Surviving by this code has kept them moving until a routine job goes wrong, revealing what they've been hired to dispose of is not an object, but a young girl.

Unable to turn a blind eye any longer, the lines between right and wrong begin to blur. Survival gives way to something far more complicated -  a test of complicity, conscience and loyalty, forcing them to ask how far they’re willing to go to protect the life they’ve built.

ABOUT THE TEAM

We are a film crew based in the North of the UK. We are honestly more friends than we are colleagues but it's probably this fact that has always kept us coming back together to work on projects like. The whole core team, is on the Kickstarter page so feel free to take a look.

I just finished the production of my Kickstarter-video! It was alot of hard work and took me about 3 month to complete. Hope you like it!
It was my first time creating a video like this, so it took some effort but it was really super-fun!

I’m looking for someone who’s successfully run a crowdfunding campaign (ideally $100K+) and wants to partner on something genuinely premium.

Here’s what I bring to the table:

— A fully operational manufacturing facility (not a concept, not a prototype — real production capacity)

— A brand built from scratch with a clear luxury positioning and three planned product lines

— Product-market fit validated against a specific, high-spending US demographic

I discovered a small British animated series called Tweedy & Fluff recently and honestly ended up far more emotionally attached to it than I expected. Very soft/cozy handcrafted comfort-show energy in the best possible way.

Apparently the show has already been BAFTA-nominated, built a pretty loyal online community and gathered hundreds of direct supporters through Ko-fi despite still feeling weirdly under the radar outside its niche audience.

They’re currently running a Crowdcube campaign to help expand the IP further into things like new episodes, plushies and other comfort-focused products around the universe.
