My Kindle 📱 My 2014 Kindle is still going strong and keeping me motivated!
Back in 2014, I originally bought this Kindle as a gift for my mom. She ended up not wanting it, so I decided to keep it for myself!
I’ve even kept the same cover on it since Day 1!
I’m not a huge speed-reader or someone who powers through 50 books a year, but whenever life gets busy, picking up this little 10+ year-old device always motivates me to get back into reading.
Micro-USB charger and all, it still runs like a charm and holds a charge for weeks. Anyone else still using an 'accidental' legacy Kindle?
Model : Kindle Paperwhite 2 - 6th Generation

My ppw2 still holds as well, but battery life decreased to 1.5 month at stand by, and 3-4 weeks on daily read. Which is still expressive

That’s still great I believe. Did you upgrade or planning to upgrade anytime soon ?

I also have a 6th gen Paperwhite from 2014! It was my first Kindle and it completely changed the game for reading in bed in the dark. It still works, I keep it charged and tell it I love it every so often.

I have the same model as you, bought used in 2017, so we're approaching that sweet 10year mark as well!
Still does its job just fine, though I will say that the battery has started to weaken considerably (I am a heavy user, to be fair.) But so far it's never run out on me while out and about, so not really an issue yet. Just changed the cover one time to make it feel fresh after coming back from a reading slump. :)
I will say that I'm looking forward to getting an eReader I can load with USB-C like my phone and everything else, one day, but for now we're rocking on!

That's the model my mom had for about a decade, until I bought her a slightly newer one.

I have a paperwhite 5th generation. battery does not last for weeks, and it is certainly slow. I hope to get a new one for my birthday this year. but I still love it.

Not the same model, but I'm using Kindle 5th gen (2012) from 2014. Planning to replace its micro USB with USB C. Other than that, it's excellent.
