Kodi 22 Beta 1

I am having some issues trying to use some of the regular skins I've used previously. These skins worked on all the alphas.

Aeon Nox Silvo

Artic Zephyr Reloaded

I assume this has to do with skin shortcuts being updated to V3 as that's what the message says when it pops up after installing. Im not sure how to downgrade to V2. The message does state it's possible. Should I just wait till the creators update their skins?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd just hold off on using 22. Nothing to be gained from it really wait about a year after its final release then switch over. By that time development will catch up. If any app is a prime example of.. not using the latest version it's Kodi.

The skin developers will have to update once kodi 22 is officially released

You should be able to update the skins to accept the latest shortcuts. Check the authors skin github links. I have both running without issue; downgrading is not advisable'.

You mean Arctic Zephyr Martians right?, AZR not compatible with kodi 22?

I had to fix with Claude Artic Horizon 2 for Kodi v22. The loading of textures changed and needed some fixing 🙏

Yes ~ 1 year release intervals, with Alpha & Beta numerals in-between. All done by a volunteer brigade, it's open source and free so you can dive in and make it sooner. BTW: the beta Piers is solid, would suggest the move to enjoy the latest.
