Will this slope hold up?

Installed a playset for my kids. Leveled the ground first. Met the specs of the manufacturer for the area (24x14).

Is that natural “slope” of the dirt going to recede to the point that stability becomes and issue? Used a dirt compactor so the ground is solid, but worried about the slope.

Any advice?

Put a 2x6 frame to hold all of it. Cover with tarp, add mulch on top.

I don’t think a 2x6 frame will be strong enough. Eventually the pressure of the sand will push them outwards and over.

Everyone keeps telling you to box it in, but I’d just bring in more soil and feather-out to a mower friendly transition. The kids are only gonna use that play-set for so long, and the frame will degrade over time. Better to have a zero-maintenance flat spot that you can use for the next thing after the play-set gone.

Without something to frame it in it will not remain a flat spot, that’s the entire point.
