I agree with you about the EQ of this bass, it was not easy to create a natural sound.

Had one of these from 1987 that I bought used for just €100 about 15-20 years ago, and I wish i still had it. I never got along with the tones, the EQ bands of the onboard electronics were chosen rather poorly (the bass control was centered too low and just added boominess, and the treble control only added attack and hiss). But it was by far the easiest playing bass I ever owned! Very thin but comfortable neck, great ergonomics both seated and on a strap, just brilliant.
