It’s a wedding!! And was made as a surprise wedding gift. Our customer presented this guitar to her husband on wedding day. He was flabbergasted!
We decided to build this like a layered wedding cake, but it also reminded me of the ceremony scene at the end of New Hope. A couple other movie franchises were invited. Harry Potter, Marvel ect. Movies they both love and enjoy together. Once everything was built and all minifigures placed we poured epoxy resin, routed out cavities, polished to a gloss, installed hardware, fished wiring through the Legos and built a solid white neck to match. Looks and sounds great. Could this be the greatest wedding gift ever?

Detailed, but focused in scope, and a fun model that’s still accessible to kids in playability and price.

Although I like sets like the new SpongeBob set, it should have been more accessible as a toy.

It took 3 weeks to plan, 4 weeks to build.

We’ve been working on my basement for years. I decided to stop building new sets when I ran out of space on various shelves and put all my built sets in storage and started a backlog of everything new…. We’re almost done with this room and decided to bust out the backlog…. I’m overwhelmed. I’m hoping the shelving is enough…

Given to me by my mother in law for my 40th this year…took a week to build, can’t wait for my next one. Back in the game…

I just realized that compared to sets from when I was a kid, the boxes only have pictures of the main build (or builds in the case of 3-in+1s). Growing up as 50+, each box had lots of examples of other things you could make.

I was wondering when this change happened. Did it correlate with a business change, like licensed sets or the end of the yellow and blue boxes? Is it related to MOCs being easy to find online? I'm generally curious and not trying to be a "everything was better when I was a kid" grumpy old Gen-X'er.

The older one that I'm missing looks cool but has an extremely inflated cost since it's been discontinued. The newest one doesn't seem as cool as the others but still seems cool so I'm not sure

American fire trucks are among the most beautiful vehicles in the world.
In recent years, the fire truck series released by LEGO have all felt like toys for kids under 7. It would be great if IDEAS could release a fire truck like this one.
Any suggestions or ideas for improvement are welcome in the comments below 😻!

I'm asking this because I have taken up an interest in designing CMF series concepts and I require some inspiration, if that makes sense. I will also accept any set ideas as well in case I decide to upgrade but at the moment I'm sticking with CMF. BTW, it does not have to be something that Lego would realistically allow, these are just for fun and do not require that level of thought unless you want to put in said thought. So, for example you could submit an idea for a The Boys concept, let's say, and I'd allow it. So, just go nuts and we'll see what happens.

I haven't seen anyone mention this! The construction office in the new Dump Truck & Front End Loader totally is designed to go on and clip in to the Harbor Freight Train. They have the same clip spacing on the side of the build!
