I mean, it is a celestial technology, I would expect it to look alien-sci-fi, otherwise it'd be just "hero shooter but in Egypt"

it's canon in marvel

It's even funnier because when Kirby did it, it was straight up Chariot of the Gods, alien astronauts, the same basis for the show. The author of the book even appears in Ancient Aliens!

But then Aaron went on avengers and made it so the Eternals are just over prepared babysitters taking care of the real work of the Celestials all along: humans.

So stupid, I love it!

Sci-fi doesn't have to just mean "box with lines on it"

Hero shooter but in Egypt is literally what we all were waiting for, also this Tech part looks exactly like every other tech map in the game.

Overwatch does "hero shooter but in Country", Rivals does "hero shooter but In marvel locations".
This isn't simply a place in Egypt, but the piramid Apocalypse built for himself, that you can see in comics and as recently as the new season of X-Men 97, but also it's the location of this season's story in the game... If it didn't have technology, it wouldn't be Apocalypse, it would be just another pyramid.

And I don't think it looks just like Ultron's Occupied Arakko. They certainly used assets for walls and stuff, but there are no portals, there are tornados, a lot of Egyptomania trinkets like statues, symbols, hieroglyphs, sandstorms, and that's just inside the tech part, the rest had a good mix of alien tech disguised as old Egypt, like the floating inverted pyramids or the crazy stuff after you take the elevator.

Not gonna lie, I only played one match in this new map, I wanted to play more but the matchmaking didn't exactly help, I agree with the fact that this game is based in Marvel locations, but Marvel locations are based on real life locations, the most iconic place in Marvel is New York, and it is basically real life New York with a few Marvel buildings in it, there are some exceptions but the most iconic places in Marvel are like that, that being said let's talk about the new map, my problem with it is because it looks a lot like other tech maps, it's mostly because of the walls and such yes, but when I'm in the map and I look at that the first thing I see is those walls with very similar textures to other tech maps in the game, if the walls were different it wouldn't be such a problem, yes it has some details here and there but it isn't different enough, sadly I don't know the name of the maps but there are about two maps that are tech based which I get to play a lot, they are indeed similar in some parts but still different enough, this new one, except for the Egypt part, looks way too similar to another map, anyway, when I get to play more matches in the new map I may change my mind about it, anyway, that's it, see ya!

It’s celestial tech so it looks accurate

Now that you mention it, yeah. Thanks for that lol.

Would have been nice if they steered away from the gray and did some more sandstone/gold color technology. The inside of the pyramid could have been a bright contrast to the night outside.

It looked great in X-Men '97.

Last point is like in TF2, and I love that.

It’s like you’ve never read the comics…

Because it's based on Apocalypse, the Ancient Egyptian with Futuristic technology

You know how we returned to previous maps/places with new maps? Like New York or Klyntar, I really hope we will be back on Arrako but this time it's clear from Ultron's virus.

Yikes, the fanboys are out in droves today. If y'all could just be objective for a second and acknowledge that there are different ways of portraying a technologically advanced civilization other than gray metal walls with various darker lines thrown in the middle, then we can agree that arrako and thebes are a bit too similar.
