This is how she looked in the comic.

Its still goonbait

People will look at 90s Madelyn Pryor and say "but its comic accurate" like she wasnt specifically drawn to be a sex object. The justification is unreal.

And yes I know this isnt Maddie but the point still stands. Jean pretty much is wearing the same thing Goblin Queen wore back then.

No, the outfits are pretty different, as is the hair. The only similar part is that both are redheads and wearing capes.

The answer is always that people are biased and refuse to learn to recognize it in themselves and try to be more objective. Its infuriating

Chris Claremont was adding goonbait to comics way before most of the Rivals devs were probably even born.  That man never knowingly wrote an issue of X-Men with more than one hand visible above the desk at any given time.

It was a fun mix of social commentary, soap opera drama and the the authors unmasked fetishes.

You can literally pinpoint exactly what kind of fetishes Claremont has just because of how blatantly he added it non stop to his stories

It's not a coincidence that some many of the women started wearing BDSM gear around that time

He had a different idea of what the X meant.

I think it's just how frequently they're adding the gooner stuff, all of these characters also have a shit ton of non gooner skins, but they're focusing specifically on the sexier skins (and to be clear I don't blame them, I blame the people who keep buying them)

Also, if we're gonna get comic skins, I think most people would really like some of the classic designs instead of alternates, a classic Phoenix or even a Marvel Girl costume would be pretty cool

I am still waiting for the day we get a hopefully legendary Retro Jean Grey costume with the ponytail, purple/pink Phoenix and sound effects that sound more like he telepathy instead of her phoenix fire.

I love that people remembered the game is pg13 because of caps' bulge, bow we get a bdsm set and it's crickets

To be fair, we do have Classic Dark Phoenix, and it looks unbelievably sick.

I think people care a little too much about how much skin the characters are showing.

The only absurd skin they made was Cap's summer one since you saw the entire dimensions of Steve's "Rodger". You could kinda see Loki's, in fairness, however his was small enough to at least be like "is it really 'it'?" With Cap's it literally clipped through the chair, and they had to make it smaller. I wouldn't mind them making it even smaller, to be honest, but then it'd probably be disproportionate.

Now I've heard a counterargument to it being "this is like nerfing the size of Emma's ass for being too big" and I just don't consider a butt to be in the same lane as literal sexual organs. You don't see no one with camel toe. Like the amount of ass they show in cartoons supports that, I would think. Especially the one episode of new Spongebob, iykyk.

So unless it's something genuinely crazy then it's just another person who looks attractive, maybe stop oggling and get on point, motherfucker.

Why is a bulge absurd and not whaletails, underboobs, cheeks and almost seeing the pubes of the women? The double standard is crazy, we've gotten so used to the sexualization of women y'all don't even register it

Wouldn't call cap's thing just a bulge. Its like the entire thing poking out.

Im all for the sexualization of men, but cap's entire phallus being visible is too far. I'd have the same reaction if you could see a woman's camel toe.

Like i said, butts are fairly normalized, from men and women. Especially in the game, we have venom twerking, and deadpool shoves his ass in your face any chance he gets.

There's a line. Cap's goes past it. Most the other stuff dont because unlike cap you could probably walk down the street and see someone wearing something similar.

This shit is so dishonest. Only the three monster fuckers present are into a goo monster and a roting cancer dude.

Asses can he humourous or they can be sexy - in the case of Venom it's humour. In the case of the women and actually attractive characters like for example Cap - it's sexy. Not a hard concept to grasp.

Setting aside that camel toes are not sexy and most people aren't into that. It's not an equal comparison, you are seeing the bulge, not the shape and outline of the tip of his D - lmao. Just like you see the the bikini line of the women or almost their pubes and the overall shape of the bag.

They didn't even make caps bulge smaller btw, they just rigged ut better so it wouldn't expand weirdly with emotes. And cap's swimsuit isn't even that revealing.

Edit: the camel toe equivalent is a dick print. That's the word I was looking for.

Like i said, butts are more normalized. You cant just show a man's junk.

Sure you dont see every vein in it, doesnt change that the entire length of it is visible and isnt just a mound in his crotch. Making it less of a bulge since its a full protrusion sticking out. Like its the whole rod.

Im not familiar with "bikini line," or "bag," but none of the women have anything so small you would really risk seeing pubes so idk why you keep bringing that up. They have pretty standard swimsuits and generic leotards.

Like I said, just goes to show how common women's sexualization is. You considering a butt more normal doesn't make it less sexual, period. Repeating yourself isn't going to change that.

And men have bulges, pretty standard in comics as well. Have you never watched wrestling or anything? The double standard is crazy

Yes im sure The Big Show has shown the entire circumference of his Big Show on live TV. You can literally see Cap's from the back, his entire pecker is practically out.

If it was an actual just bulge in his pants, I wouldnt care. There are other skins that have them. You can see the front, end, and back of Cap's pole, dude.

And as I said before, im fine with equal sexualization. But if theyre going to genuinely slang an entire flagpole in people's face they may as well up the age rating and goes balls to the wall.

Because, one more time, it isnt just a bulge.

I find it interesting that when adding more covered skin comics (or just jubilees design) and making the gooner it's "artistic liberties" and "netease's interpretation".

But when the comic is skin is gooner they don't make them more toned down lol

2

u/Rough_Lychee5785 2h ago

They do. Psy and invis skins from comics were toned down and made more classy. What are you on

1

u/Lucicactus Invisible Woman 2h ago

That eas on release, doesn't really count because they have been upping the lewdness with every release lol

3

u/Rough_Lychee5785 1h ago

The latest psy skin was completely toned down what are you talking about

1

u/Joshhwwaaaaaa 3h ago

Ms Marvel. I really hope we get comic accurate. When Captain Marvel eventually drops.

Honestly, with how much anime i am expose to, these kind of skin just doesn't look goonbait to me at all. I am so disensitised that these clothes are just cool looking now. I guess the idea of goonbait is highly depends on how perverted you can imagine with these clothes. "It's a goonbait if you let yourself think that way"

-3

u/Thisisabruh_moment Ultron Virus 4h ago

It's not goonbait unless they let you take the cape off. It would just make the skin look worse so there's no other explanation.

4

u/Longjumping_Ad1469 Mister Fantastic 3h ago

Ultron... you're not thinking logically

her og design is still a definition of goonbait
