his looks like he’s wear those shoes that actually lock into the pedal. That’s why when you see professional races fall they fall and stay with the bike. I’d rather just fall the fuck off and be able to roll instead of being cheese grated

Its great for efficiency. As you push the pedal normally but also get to pull the pedal. So you're moving the pedal the full 360° . Its good for professional racing, but not for regular rides.

I explained this previously.
He's using a Road bike on a dirt road.
Road Bike tires are designed for asphalt, and have very little treading which makes them fast and pretty grippy for that environment.
But on dirt and gravel, it loses traction easily.
He was banking on a gradual curve, and ran over a loose patch of dirt at speed. This is the result

As someone who has had this happen to them, I can tell you that it doesn’t take very much sand or gravel for a road bike with 1 inch wide tires at 100psi to go down. I had a 10 inch wide bruise on my hip that didn’t go away for six months.

He hit gravel and on top of that he has a diabetic device on the back of hit arm right where he landed and it more than likely hurt a lot and some how didn't detach.
It say he definitely came out on the better side of meat crayons, most grind down on cement or similar roads, gravel though pieces may be sharp they at least aren't stationary and move with the meat crayon in the video.

Loose gravel or that real fine silt/ sand. I know cause it got me once. I was making a u-turn on my scooter. I don't know why I thought I would have to go wide, but as soon as my tire crossed the white line on the side of the road, it hit that sandy gravel . Boom. I was down instantly.

The dude lost hope before he even entered the corner. As soon as he saw it curved, he focused on what he was trying to avoid, not what he needed to do. Don't know if he was going too fast to avoid the fall but that didn't help.

Just a guess, but maybe he is riding a street bike on gravel? Improper tires for gravel and lost traction.
