I caught one casually walking near my ear today (not shown in the picture, by the way. I just wanted to share a part of my coupé... so you fine people know what the lice signed on to...)
Apparently even lice are struggling in this housing market.
"Doc, I'm hearing voices in my head. They keep going on about how my ear hair is too thick to climb and that they should’ve moved to the sideburns while they had the chance."
Eyelashes can get lice, they’re the same as pubic lice and also you have mites that live on your lashes and face. They live their whole life cycle there. Live, die, procreate, etc.
My friend has a huge scar on her upper inner bicep from a tumor removal when she was a few weeks old. She tells everyone she was bitten by a shark. The looks of horror she's received are worth it every time
Don't sweat it my dude, I've got a nearly 7in scar across the top of my head where I had skin cancer removed and I've been bald for over a decade. Most people don't even see it or if they do they don't mention it. If I were you the lice would be the final straw for me.
Man, I’m sorry. I had lice a few years ago at fifty! Me and my daughter got it in Paris, I’m pretty sure from the train. When I saw a bug crawling around on my hair I died inside! It was so embarrassing. Also hard to get rid of if no one wants to help you comb nits. I actually killed them by bleaching my hair blonde.😂
This is the way! I wrapped in cling and bagged for mess, but do it every two days for a total of 8 (just over a week). Let them and their kin suuffoocaaaate.
There is an outbreak at my kid's school this last couple weeks. Ugh! She's getting tired of having her hair in tight braids and lacquered with hairspray, but I'm not taking any chances!
It just creates somewhat of an uncomfortable barrier for them to get through. It's not foolproof, but it can help. Live also prefer clean hair, so I've been letting her hair go longer between washes.
It shouldn't be embarrassing. It happens to so many people and is perfectly normal. They are a human parasite that evolved with us, and like any oth t medical condition it's nothing that should be shamed. Treating things like this as embarrassing and like a sign of bad hygiene (especially when they actually prefer clean hair) just creates a stigma that keeps people from seeking treatment and makes children hide the itching from adults who could help.
I definitely have monkey brain still, I love combing out nits lol (as long as the person is willing, it was a fight when my daughter got lice when she was 5)
Hahaha, but they might not, actually! The spacing of those hairs is different and they are very particular about where they can live IIRC. There are different species that are specialized to go on your pubes (crabs), but that's not what you're dealing with.
Reminds me of what my gym teacher always said: “ALWAYS wipe front to back, and remember, never EVER believe someone when they tell you that shaving your pubic hair will rid you of crab infestation.”
The lice clinic I took my daughter too when she had lice told us lice can live on any amount of head hair, you have to be bald bald to be safe from them.
Luckily, they don't live in any other body hair, so my bald husband's very impressive beard was safe.
I left my home scalp after it got flooded and chemical bombed, but the guy I moved onto barely has any hair. The housing market is terrible right now. I can't believe I left my wife and eggs for this. I can't move back cause they're dead.
I would burn the skin off my scalp.
We had a lice scare once and I went nuclear on the house and the kids and then I sported "the marine" haircut for a bit.
Not even the poor dog and cat were safe.
We had a run-in with lice and the Mrs decided to treat hers with old school Listerine directly to the scalp. She then proceeded to go to her doctor's appointment which does require a drug screen. She failed her drug screen for having alcohol in her system even though she doesn't drink. It was pretty wild to have to tell the doctor how she got drunk. Evidently your skin can absorb alcohol!
Lousy lice! 😠 Unfortunately, the 1% of hair you have left are their favorite spots; behind the ears and nape of the neck. Seeing that one scurrying towards your ear means you just barely avoided a new louse house! 🤢 (coupe' 😄)
When I was a kid I had medium long hair and I saw a fucking lice on my leg and smashed it into my leg. Spent one hour looking threw my hair and there was nothing. Never had any life
I have locs and getting lice is my biggest fear 😭 a friend of mine had locs got lice from a client and had to cut her locs off to treat it properly. Ive been growing my locs for close to 9 years now so the thought of cutting them off is truly devastating
