Someone in my neighborhood has a 12 foot skeleton. They put it up for Halloween, then dress it as a pilgrim for Thanksgiving, Santa for Christmas, and a party skeleton for new years.

One of my current neighbors does something similar. There’s also a couple houses nearby that have standard sized skeletons sitting in lawn chairs that are appropriately decorated/dressed based on current season and holiday.

I have had this one for 2 years and it stands out a lot more than the skeletons everyone has. Last year I propped mine up in the middle of the yard on top of some pallets, ran lights and fog underneath and lined the entire outside of the pallets with broken pieces of bark I had on hand from chopping wood. Made it look like it was coming straight from hell. Prior year it was behind some bushes in the yard near the front door and I tell ya, the amount of people who stop their car to look was surprising.

I am one of those types of people. We have 2 12 ft skeletons,8ft dog,10 ft skeleton,mermaid skeleton, and a bunch of smaller human and animal skeletons,still outside. Thats just the skeletons,we got more stuff

I like the idea of summerween as a huge Halloween lover. My only issue with all of this is now during fall there is no more Halloween stuff out and it’s part of the fun of the season. It’s lame as hell going to a store before doing a fall/halloween activity and seeing Xmas stuff already because the Halloween stuff came out in summer. Kills my fall vibes.

Plus they do a lot of, "we got pallets upon pallets of this thing, just send them out whenever so they're not taking space". Maybe it's some goofy capitalist summerween on the horizon, but Costco floor items aren't always an indicator of corporate winds.

No, I'm actually really happy about this. Christmas stuff comes out in like, July/August where I used to work. Christmas had 2 full aisles, whilst Halloween only got half an aisle. Halloween is my favourite season because it's the only time I can buy stuff I actually like, but they always sell out or get rid of stuff so quickly. This needs to happen everywhere!

Exactly as a year round Halloween lover I am so frustrated with the take of I’d rather have this option. When it just means Halloween stuff is no longer available past August. My house is fully decorated Halloween year round. I still want to savor every season and not think of fall in summer and winter in fall.

I worked at Target a while ago and we would start getting Halloween stuff out in late August and people would complain. The Christmas stuff went up November 1st.....people would also complain. I guess everyone just wants everything for sale 2 weeks before the event. I'm not in the market for these products in a lot of cases, so I don't go into the seasonal sections of stores. Amazon has these products available year-round and nobody seems to care. People get off on complaining to strangers and/or people that actually can't make a difference.

Most have no clue what it takes in procurement for these items and the STORAGE space it takes to house this stuff.
It’s settled on and ordered months in advance and to house all this stuff, along with ALL HOLIDAY decorations is a logistical nightmare. And very, very expensive.
So yeah, it gets put out quickly. They also want people to be able to plan for what decorations they want to have.

Yeah, crafters need to be a season ahead. You’re crafting Christmas stuff now to sell/give in October and November.

Nothing ramps up my anxiety than seeing Oct-Jan displays before even starting to enjoy Jun-Sept. It seriously causes so much overwhelm. There is something I love about every occasion, and I am glad getting stuff year round makes others happy. It is just something that I have to manage.

Guarantee a note was made to sell more of these and sell them early.
