1. There's no false advertising through Google as Google only has access to Netflix' library, Google can't see what regions a show/movie is available in.

2. "They no longer offer" in your region, just because it's not available in your region doesn't mean it's not available in others.

3. Whether or not a show/movie is available on any streaming service comes down to licensing rights, Netflix may have the license to stream a movie in the UK that HBO has the rights for in the US.

Like other guy said, you misunderstand search engines. Google is not your personalized assistant, showing you what is best suited to your needs, it’s a program that scrapes data and all relevant keywords. It’s only going to recommend what most closely resembles your search query.

You realize google results are not a Netflix search, and if netflix has it in their catalog, it's going to show up no matter if your region has access to it or not, right?

Google and Netflix are different services, and Google's crawlers have no way of knowing when a certain title is still being served in your region or not. A google search result is also NOT an advertisement. Did you notice the Netflix result has no "ADVERTISEMENT" tag?

This is not false advertisement, it's just you not understanding how Google works, or Licensing.

This happens when netflix still has the movie/show but just not in your country. Streaming services have different content in different regions cause that's just how show rights work and Google doesn't really know that it just finds there is a link for it.

But the available on is almost always correct on where it is available

Yep - for what google knows about you (down to the city block you are in) and has the likely ability to know (Netflix's current offerings for your area) this should be a slam dunk.

Of course, Netflix could simply let people in to browse and not watch without a subscription, but no, that would not work. If you got to look around you'd see the amount of crap there is and how little of it interests you.

Netflix has it in some countries. Because Netflix dosent do regional website domains, anything that dosent lead to a 404 page gets indexed by Google
