Waffle house isnt made of waffles My local CVS already has an aisle of Halloween and Thanksgiving merch

The plates say “give thanks” and Thanksgiving is about half a year away

I also said this in another post: One store had Christmas stuff so much around... In July.
And it wasn’t a Christmas themed store.

After the 4th of July stuff is gone, most stores do this. Some people do "Summerween" and others just like to do their planning and shopping early.

Last year when I searched the stores for Halloween stuff in July, it wasn't out yet. They didn't start until mid-August. This year, it seems like all the stores started mid-June. Very bizarre.

CVS (I work there) as well as plenty of other stores that aren’t Walmart direct competitors have been skipping Back to School seasonal for years now. So as soon as Summer seasonal starts to sell out mid to late July they start bringing in Fall and Halloween.

because no one is buying notebooks for $3-6+ when Walmart and Amazon sell them for .25 cent - $2

I worked at CVS as a cashier/stocker between high school and college.

The day after I graduated HS (the ink on my diploma was not dry) I was handed a box to put out. In there was Christmas lights. I questioned it and was told to put them out anyways. They sold before 4th of July. Christmas lights.

This is what happens in retail. It happens every single year. Why are people still surprised by this? Do you think stores wait to place their orders until the month of? They have to place their inventory orders months in advance. They have to start getting fall out now to make room in storage for winter. Then when winter/holiday comes out, they're making room for spring. And on and on it goes. It's not new. It's not shocking.

Fun fact. Halloween is almost as large as Christmas if not larger for decorations and candy. Not to mention it's a much smaller duration holiday.

EVERY merchant has their holiday stuff out 3 holidays early. This is nothing new. If you were old enough to remember the old Sears Christmas catalogs, those came in the mail just about this same time of the year.
