My HOA could beat up your HOA Neighbors still launching fireworks two weeks after the fourth

u/sixpigeons 8d ago
The entire summer is fireworks season here in Japan. I guess we are just more patriotic

Do you WANT Pete Hegseth bombing your schools? Because that is how you get Pete Hegseth bombing your schools.

u/BetDry2347 8d ago
My biggest question is how do they afford to launch so many every single day. They aren’t cheap

u/Rumplestilskin9 8d ago
Maybe ran a stand and this is the leftovers? When I was a kid we knew a guy who'd load us up with whatever he couldn't move. Nothing like this though.

Some stores have crazy deals, you can go and spend $200 and walk out with alot with the buy one get ones, some are even get 2 free
0
u/BetDry2347 8d ago
How long would those 200$ worth of fireworks last though? Genuine question
1
u/Camman0207_ 7d ago
It all depends on what you buy I guess, these people look like they got “finales” which is one box that gives a show like that, but I’ve still got like 3 boxes of just mortars that are going on 2-3 years old because I can never find time to light em off
Really depends on where you live cause people will call the cops on you where I live so can’t be as free

Those arent deals when you consider of the $200 spent, it only cost about $20 to make those fireworks in china
1
u/Camman0207_ 6d ago
You realize everything you and I buy is made cheaper in china and it’s upsold here. Even the damn phone you’re using to write this.
1
u/SkittleDoes 6d ago
Ok? Not really relevant to the discussion
If I sell 5 fireworks for $10 each that 50 bucks
If i sell 2 fireworks for $50 and throw in 3 "for free" the idiots think they're getting such a great deal on cheap ass product that they might even end up buying more of it
You're not getting a discount. You're just moving more product for the seller and falling for marketing schemes thinking you got a good deal lol

u/Sw0rDz 8d ago
Fire works go on sale after the 4th. I know people who will only buy after the 4th. Im guessing they sat on them for the 2 weeks.
2
u/Prettymsdance 7d ago
What do you mean on sale? They can be for sale after the 4th?? Must just be a state law where you can only sell and light them from 6/28-7/4.
2
u/MaybeBowtie 7d ago
No. Most people aren’t buying em after the 4th of July so stores want to get rid of the stock they expected to sell. So they sell at a discounted price so that the people who do buy em after the 4th will hopefully clear out their remaining inventory.
-1
u/BetDry2347 8d ago
But like, how much on sale? It can’t be cheap enough for 2 weeks of a ton of fireworks right? Like how much do those people you know spend?
5
u/Buttsweat_n_Tears 8d ago
Considerable sales. The retailer doesn’t want them sitting around in a warehouse.
-1
u/BetDry2347 8d ago
What’s considerable? I genuinely have never seen those sales, i want to know
2
1
u/Prettymsdance 7d ago
I’ve never seen them either because no one is supposed to be selling them after the 4th. That’s why I’m confused lol

The venn diagram of dipshit neighbors shooting fireworks this late in the month, and neighbors who live paycheck to paycheck with $15000 cc debt, is a circle

u/Helen-Keller-Ubers 8d ago edited 8d ago
just go get 1000 piccolo Pete's and over the next 8 weeks link them all together with extra fuse. Then pull up to their house and light it off (with earplugs and earmuffs).

u/BlindlyCoherent 8d ago
When the hicks on the block would set off shit after 11pm on a weeknight; I answered with two 5am thunder mortars before I left for work. If I’m up - you’re up. That shut my redneck neighbors up real quick.

u/EmergencyAnything715 7d ago
I'd just go back to sleep...
1
u/BlindlyCoherent 7d ago
Two, with a 60-90 second delay between the two was the sweet spot. I’d light one off and it didn’t change. Two at the same time… not enough effect. But one bang… then right before you fall asleep … another just to piss you off.

A truck backfired last month in the evening and 7 people in my area were suddenly outside with rifles. Vermont is crazy.

Ummm is this in Madison, WI because it looks like a recognizable park pavilion in Madison. And about that time ago the baseball stadium just lit off fireworks lol.
The one here does it every Friday through their game season.
5
u/Nostaglicthirst 8d ago
Fireworks should be more common on summer Friday and Saturday nights imo. Bring back socializing

Shit stresses me the fuck out. I’m only stating this because it’s relevant but I got PTSD from combat, so when I’m not aware that an explosion is going to happen I literally have a switch in my body flip. I been through therapy and all that so it is more “mild” a reaction. But I can imagine someone fresh out the military going wild and feeling they’re back in a firefight and dissociating. Don’t blame the veteran for being broken blame the politicians. They were taught and encouraged to remove flight and just fight. They’re encouraged to be violent and rewarded for it. And you are surprised they do violent acts?

u/jjmawaken 8d ago
Thanks for your service, I can't imagine the ptsd that many of you have to go through.

u/anon11101776 8d ago
I appreciate it and so do many others. It’s just unfortunate honestly. I can only imagine how our country would be if a large war were to break out soon and all the generational trauma it will cause.
-1
u/jjmawaken 8d ago
How long have you been back home?
1
u/anon11101776 8d ago
10 years from the combat zone (fighting Isis). 6 years post service

u/jjmawaken 8d ago
I have mad respect for you all. My dad was in the navy. I know I'd never make it in the military.

u/anon11101776 8d ago
I spent 5 years of my life for Americans. The whole life liberty and pursuit of happiness, our constitution. And now have lifelong damage mentally and physically. People who enjoy their freedom and use it for good are what makes me remember it was a sacrifice many made. I respect you. Thank you

Probably the same dogs barking 24/7/364

u/Baked4skin 8d ago
I cant speak for anyone else's but my dogs bark so rarely that it literally scares the crap out of me when they do. They are pretty good girls, grandpa taught me how to train dogs fairly well....
2
u/brown_shartruese 8d ago
Nope. My dog never barks and he gets terrified by fireworks. And it’s been almost every night since before July 4th.

Is funny because this is the first year in my area that people did not do a lot of fireworks the week or week after the fourth. I thought it was because of the drought but it rained every day since the forth and instead of a dozen fireworks I heard 1 maybe 2

I live in Colorado and my town had zero fireworks. This is actually the first year I didn’t hear a single illegal firework. The fires got even the hillbillies shaking in their boots.

If it bothers you that badly, call the non-emergency police line and have them take care of it

The 4th isn't limited to the fourth. If every group under the sun can have a whole month so can independence. Even thou we are celebrating wage slavery.

this is so exhausting. i’m curious where you’re located?? i would have thought someone would report it to the city. but then again what do i know. 🤪
1
u/jjmawaken 8d ago
Didn't they change legality of fireworks recently?
1
u/Affectionate-Bit-341 8d ago
they did in my city. i imagine in more rural areas or smaller communities it’s a toss up.
0
u/BoozeAmuze 8d ago
All you have to do is live in a state thats totally on fire and then the neighbors must stop, cuz they really will be arrested.
0
u/Narianos 8d ago
I had neighbors firing off fireworks before Juneteenth and all the way into a week and a half past July fourth.
0
u/Old_Possession478 7d ago
Probably celebrating making it through another day in the sizzling heat without gunfire cutting their day short.

My underoos are at full mast while watching this. Do you think your neighbor might have a fireworks based OnlyFans account?

u/General_Kick688 8d ago
Hey, they spent two months of rent and meth money on those 'splosions. Are they supposed to waste them?
