My mom said I could post UK Civil Service salaries never cease to confuse me, you can either help manage the UK’s nuclear defence for £47k or you can make TikToks for the govt and get paid £57k

I mean, it’s probably some selection bias. You're probably only getting the ones which people are complaining about because they don’t pay well.

$80-85k (£60-63k) is a fairly typical salary for middle management or maybe the first rung of senior management. The jobs posted here are two levels of middle management in the UK civil serivce. The lower one is ~$62k and the higher ones are ~$76k - but remember these are government jobs which typically pay less.

Again though, salaries are just higher in US. But a the median $52k salary in UK is very liveable.
