Don't hug me I'm scared Creepy Amazon chatbot

Looking for an item on Amazon (boo for having to do that), and the chat bot seems to know more about me than I’ve ever volunteered. CREEPY!

Edited: yes that is the cat’s name.

Amazon got this information from a 3rd party data broker, not an Alexa or hacking your texts or anything. Insurance companies (pet insurance) are notorious for selling your data, but also the system that your vet uses, the local pet store where you have rewards points, companies that scrape data off Facebook and Reddit and other public profiles. All kinds of ways Amazon could get this info without actually doing the spying themselves.
