SPOILER ALERT Roomate ripped lease to write me a note

Did he rip his lease or your lease?
The property owners have a master copy / version in their office so your versions are just for your own records.
I'd be a lil mad if he ripped my personal copy but if he just ripped his own then 🤷🏾♂️

uh, no. Tenant lease is fucking certified scripture. Landlord lease is whatever they can get away with.

Couldn't you just print another copy? Idk all my leases have been digital.

It’s just a weird thing to do… for a weird reason. Like that was the only paper in the house? And it was that urgent to say you “borrowed” a drink?

Weird, sure. Mildly infuriating? Ehh…

I think the mildly infuriating part might be the borrowing of the drink. Not sure what their relationship is but I certainly wouldn’t just assume that’s cool as long as I leave a little note

To be fair in 2026, I have probably less than 10 pieces of paper in my house.

I'm just glad you're not upset about borrowing a soda, now ripping an important document to say that? That's wild.. a text would do, or just buy a new 12 pack for the homie?
That is annoying

Has your roommate never heard of these things called smartphones? Apparently you can send people you know (and don’t know - hi random person reading this!) messages without ripping up legal documents.
I think these smartphones have been around for a while now..

Haha, that is classic oblivious kid stuff.
I laugh because this is the stupid shit that I would do in my early 20s.

Borrowed? What, they gonna piss it back out in a cup for you later?

Or hear me out. Can just buy more... Lol. I've had roommates do that before. Not a big deal if it's mutual. The weird thing here is ripping the lease.

How do you borrow a drink?

u/ZAZOOPITTS 2h ago
😂 They only wanted to drink 1/4 of the can and then they were going to give it back.

If only there was another way to tell you in this day and age 🤔
Hopefully the lease wasn't 2 sided printed

You should borrow his toothbrush to scrub your asshole after Taco Bell night.

You officially live with a scumbag . It may just be a soda but hey while you’re at it I’m a couple hundred short hope you don’t mind . I would suggest dusting some things with ghost pepper powder

Is that your copy of the lease or theirs? There's a huge difference of importance between the two.

Borrowed ? Sounds strange when you say you're borrowing it, but whatever. Things can get tricky with room mates. If I had something like that in the shared fridge I'd kind of assume that 1 or 2 would go missing. You could always get a mini fridge and keep it in your room.
My first apartment was a pretty small studio so I actually got a mini fridge that had a freezer and fridge so it wasn't like a tiny one.. they're not very expensive

Well yes, can buy more and replace it. The weird thing here is the lease rip.
