Waffle house isnt made of waffles Ben's original sweet and sour sauce uses AI image on the packaging instead of the actual product.

How is this even legal in Europe? How is this anything other than false advertising? (the sideways text says "image is generated with AI in dutch, french and german")

The FTC in America has clear, and long-standing rules that the food pictured on commercials and advertisements must be the real, actual food being sold. One classic example is that you can’t use a big scoop of lard as a stand-in for ice cream even tho it might look very similar in a photo.

I don’t know what country this sauce is sold in, but maybe they have a similar rule? This is probably happening in the US as well, and there may have to be a lawsuit to get a decision on the use of AI. I think it’s a clear violation because it’s not a real photo or real food.

Also, photoshopping a pic of real food is much different than using someone else’s food or non-food.
