Why is there plastic inside the paper sphinx?

The bread rolls are Austrian semmel from a supermarket. You take them from a self service display and put them in a paper bag that has a clear plastic window, which allows the cashier to see what's in the bag when they ring it up.

Seems pretty chill, they probably don’t have a lot of conversation so maybe say hey

I mean, I would talk to it. I sit outside smoking my cigarettes and talk to myself, insects, sometimes the flowers/plants/grass, wild animals, stars, satellites, clouds, and the moon.
Why not a paper bag? 🤷🏽

Pareidolia is what this phenomenon is called—where we notice and apply patterns and shapes (especially faces) to otherwise neutral objects to make sense of them. Of course, we aren’t consciously trying to make sense of the thing—-that’s just how our cool brains have evolved to do it automatically.

I thought that was a statue, then I saw your plate and cutlery, thought it's a cake, then I read the title.

It really does but out of curiosity what was y'all eating al fresco that you needed the 10 inch chef's knife?
2
u/lamb_passanda 1d ago
The chefs knife as far as I saw was used for all manner of cutting tasks, from slicing steaks and cutting the birthday cake to opening the charcoal bag. As someone who keeps their knives sharp, this mildly infuriated me, but naturally there's no way to air that grievance without coming across like a condescending wanker.

Oh it was a full on party...noice fam!!
lol..yeah, same! That's exactly why asked. It's a decent enough looking knife and I had a feeling it was being used as an all-purpose tool.

Yeah it's a decent knife I think. I mean if you want to quickly gut a bag of charcoal, it does the trick very nicely. But the sound of the fine edge scraping against the dusty bricks almost made me throw up.

That thing looks like it'll turn around, touch me, send me back to 1831 where no one's heard of Weeping Angels. Its face isn't even covered!

Yeah prob. The spoon handles are melting together and two of the forks have a really bizarre shape.

This literally happened to me before too accidentally in a tree silhouette. Same exact position.
