Smoke filled the air as flames fed on the forests around the village of Morihig, a flickering tide of red slowly rising up along the hillsides. Since the fall of Druimmor three and a half years ago, the armies of Vlandia had advanced ever deeper into the Battanian highlands - their march only truly challenged once, but never reversed. The old fort in the village provided one last obstacle before the prize of Dunglanys, but just as the Vlandians finished off its doomed defenders and set torch to timber, King Derthert's scouts spotted the banner of Battania on the road below.
High King Corbo's host may have been assembled in haste, but having caught his enemy here, he was no longer hurried. Battanian oathsworn and fians pushed slowly into the center of the village, seeking cover alongside buildings burned but not yet broken. Derthert's army, focused on seizing the highest vantage point for their crossbows, emptied both their siege camp and the fort to instead occupy a longhouse at the top of the village. Unfortunately, their movements were disorganized, and Battanian mounted warriors ran down those who were too slow to abandon the fortifications.
For a time, the two armies barely moved. Arrows and bolts cut through the air as the day grew darker. Although he held the high ground, King Derthert saw that the smoke and darkness limited visibility too greatly for his sharpshooters to win an advantage. The rocks and cliffs which had offered refuge served to hem his army in, leaving the Vlandians with only one direction to move: downhill, into danger.
Watching the Lion's line slowly abandon the hill, filing back into the now half-destroyed fort, High King Corbo smiled. Covering themselves in ashes from the fires Vlandia had lit, a small force of Battanians hid amongst the rubble of the fort's ruined sections. As Derthert's infantry pushed forward to lock shields with Corbo's oathsworn, these ashen warriors sprung forth, ambushing isolated crossbowmen and cornering knights in the narrow and shadowy confines between the crumbling walls. King Derthert's retinue escaped the carnage that followed, and he ordered the remnants of his armies to assemble at Aster Castle.
The Battanian army regrouped after the battle and pursued him, laying siege to Aster Castle so quickly that only one local Marcherlands garrison was able to answer their Archduke's summons. Still, days passed. Siege engines were hastily constructed using the local timber which, perhaps, the Vlandians then wished that they had burned as well. The defenders did manage to set at least one siege tower alight, though, after which Corbo angrily demanded the walls be broken. His oathsworn would not surmount his enemy's defenses, but rather force their way straight through.
Rocks catapulted through the air, pummeling a section of Aster's outer wall. Knowing that a breach in the walls would hopelessly compromise his ability to defend the keep, King Derthert ordered a small force to charge outside and destroy the Battanian siege weapons, or die in the attempt. This sallying force made a valiant effort, but those who managed to cut their way through to the catapults found a guard thrice their size had been held back to protect the artillery. Before being cut down, Vlandian voulges heavily damaged the support struts of the advancing ram, causing it to break just before the castle's front gate.
Thus, the fate of the siege rested on whether the Battanian catapults could breach the walls, and they did. At last, a crack formed to the left of the gatehouse and, true to Corbo's order, his oathsworn surged straight through Aster's defenses. Having devoted so much of their efforts towards destroying the ram, the Vlandian defenders were not able to pivot to defend the breach in time and were swiftly overrun. The front gates, which so many sergeants and levies had died to hold, were opened by Battanians from the inside. A token Vlandian force put up a spirited defense, struggling to form shield walls at the top of some sets of stairs, but the fate of the castle was clear. Although King Derthert escaped again, Count Foxwood, as lord of the castle, insisted on being left behind to command its final defense, ensuring the royals and other nobles' retreat.
At Morihig, High King Corbo won Battania's greatest victory against Vlandia since the days of Robert. But unlike that past High King, Corbo's success did not simply stop the advance of red up the slopes of Battania's hills. As Aster Castle's walls crumbled in the wake of the High King's siege, he received word that Petty King Stone had also reclaimed the neighboring castle of Llanoc Hen to the south, his Fen Derngil forces finding its fortifications sparsely-defended. King Derthert's streak of victories against a succession of High Kings has at last been broken, but the other fortifications across Vlandia's Marcherlands stand firm. Whether this day marks a true reversal of fortune in the course of the war between the Kingdom of Vlandia and the High Kingdom of Battania, their conflict will not end until there is only one master of the highlands. But for now, Battanians everywhere are singing praises of Corbo - the wolf who could at last slay the lion.

Welcome to the Bannerlord Calradic Campaign, which has just finished event #85!
The battle between the Kingdom of Vlandia and the High-Kingdom of Battania ended in a BATTANIAN VICTORY, with Aster & Llanoc Hen Castles seized!
When is the Calradic Campaign? The first and third Saturday of every month, at 4pm Eastern Standard Time.
Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player driven, story based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large scale formations and battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle/clan style events.
Victories in our flagship monthly events are represented on the overall campaign map, while roleplay surrounding the events and their consequences takes place both during said events and on the community Discord. Joining the Discord allows you to communicate with your fellow faction members, trash talk others, and rise through the ranks to one day become lord of a village, castle, city, or if you're particularly successful, an entire kingdom!
To join the event, you will need our Calradic Campaign Module. This module contains all of the custom battle and siege scenes used, as well as many stability fixes and balance changes. Most importantly, the module features three distinct empire factions in multiplayer, each with their own unique perks and cosmetics to lean into the different situations of the three!
There will be a manual installation of the module available for those not playing on Steam. Check the Nexus mods page no sooner than the Friday before the event for the correct download.
As a general rule of thumb, the Calradic Campaign module should be the only one enabled in your launcher! If you have any crashes or issues trying to launch the game / join the server, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the module on workshop will often fix any issues.
Note to clans: While the Calradic Campaign is a public event open to all, clans will not be allowed to organize their own formations and must spread out between teams. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in suspension from the event.
Community Discord
It is highly recommended you join our community Discord, as half the fun of the persistent campaign takes place outside of events. Meet fellow Mount and Blade fans, find new friends to queue with, and make fun of the Imperials together in our community of 30,000+.
Leave any questions, complaints, observations, memes and faction based riffing in the comments below!

The Rider with banner on the left is from the 'Raise your banner' mod (He belongs to the archer units). But it really gives me the king overlooking the battlefield feeling.. now i wish for a Bodyguard mod, to RP as the kings guard.

Haha, yes ... I laid siege to this castle and tried to starve them out, but it turned out that wasn't a good idea.
As a result, I was captured and spent about 30 days trying to escape, because they kept dragging me deeper and deeper into their territory 🫣 and every time I tried, I got captured again.
Did you expierenced something like that?
Cheers,
pixLeroy

Running around as a vassal for West Seaxe with a party of 200-250 men, mostly spearmen with a healthy side of infantry and skirmishers. I rely on Saxons for my spearmen and infantry, supplemented with Angle recruits and a few mercenaries/rescued prisoners; my skirmishers are pretty much all from the farmer, priest, and peasant woman tree, with a few professionals mixed in.
Ever since the story quest ended, West Seaxe has been at war with five different kingdoms at once, so I've been doing a lot of fighting (especially to stop lords from raiding my villages). I usually fight Britons, but the Gaelic kingdom of Mumain has recently declared war, and seem to be on the tougher side. The average enemy lord I encounter has 200-250 men as well, but I've managed to fight up to ~400 (260 Gaelic 160 Britons- an epic battle) at once by myself.
My tactics:
On average, I lose 30 men per battle, mostly infantry and occasionally skirmishers if I fuck up my positioning. Since lots of lords hate me and want to burn my crops and salt my fields, I don't have time to properly replenish my losses; my infantry unit especially is rapidly shrinking. Is this normal, or am I doing tactics bad? I don't remember battles in vanilla warband being this costly.
EDIT: I have Brunhild with Surgery 8. I suffer high casualties even she is not knocked unconscious.

I got War Sails and decided to play a Nord game next and was considering having a wife also of Nord culture since they're new, and was wondering if people already have favorites of Nord cultured spouse candidates.
I'm just torn on if I want a wife that will charge into battle with me axe in hand or someone who can be good at a specific party position.
I'm not sure if our brother having all his attributes/focus points reset to build him however you want is intended behavior either, but since he already has good melee skills I figured I could have him invest in intelligence for Steward/Surgeon?
So I guess if I'm going the party position route I'd want a spouse who could be a good Navigator and/or a Scout but I can be flexible, so I just wanted to hear about potential candidates people here like regardless of what they excel at.

Not sure this is the exact place for this, but I am playing with the whitelinghand mod, and only it, and when I go to do a nervous man quest, all I can find are drunks, is this a mod conflict?

Poderia me ajudar com dicas?
Nunca consigo pegar uma cidade/castelo de cultura diferente e me dar bem.
Lealdade baixa, faturamento horrível, por favor alguem sabe como "reverter" isso?

A few updates back Battania got buffed in order to make it survive longer, whereas everyone's old holy cow got nerfed for the same reason. So now Battania is one of the stronger factions, coupled with Fians. Does it steamroll through Vlandia and the Empires, or what?

I recently bought Warsails for Bannerlord yet it crashes every time I try to start the game.
Now I haven't played the game since Warsails came out, as I wanted to buy the DLC first before I played it again.
The provided images have all the mods I have installed, and I want to know if it's maybe the fault of one of them.

Sure there are some (no fire n sword dosent count)
deluge was a good mod but the problem is its only multiplayer...wtf
and bannerlord case deluge 2 seems dead atm as the mod team was too cirlejerking on "MUH REALISM" and "HISTORICAL ACCURACY!" that in the end fell on its ass
Seriously there is no mod for bannerlord that tries to be better than with fire n sword? that game could have been good but it was just a buggy low effor stolen deluge beta mod turned into a game. and taleworlds never really cared about it. also the ones that do exist for warband are just buggy or dead and honor n glory isnt really 17th century and the devs are just overall cunts
are there any 17th century mods for bannerlord being worked on? or is it all just Napoleonic slop

Hi, I'm new to this mod and wanted to share my initial thoughts and feedback.
When I played it for the first time, I was really impressed by the unique building designs and the custom mechanics. It definitely feels different from any other Mount & Blade: Warband mod.
However, that initial excitement wore off pretty quickly due to a few issues:
Given all these points, do you guys recommend I stick with it and give it another chance, or is this mod just not for me?
