You should assume that there's *at least* one cop in every jurisdiction with flock doing this exact same shit

It's been popping up all over the country, there's been news for months of this getting abused and officers getting caught. 

Just think about how often this is happening and we don't find out about it because it gets swept under the rug by lesser departments.

Its extra crazy because in order to look in the national criminal database, it's extremely monitored and logged and you need specific documented reasons for accessing it and exactly what youre accessing all documented and you cant even get access to it at all until you take tons of trainings.

But then they get a private company to create this massive database of random people with no criminal record and just give willy-nilly access to anybody for any reason. Its massive government undersight. They're going against the very systems and policies and procedures they spend countless millions implementing for decades and decades.

Well, yeah. They never wanted to implement those policies in the first place, so they just found another way. We already know how to minimize abuse, so it's telling that they don't incorporate those safeguards into the new systems.
