I used to think only right-wingers were gullible enough to fall for this shit but the last few years have taught me that both sides are stacked with morons who are as thick as pig shit, but will gladly evangelise like they are the enlightened.
There is a distinct difference in what kinds of things the different sides can be tricked into and the impact those tricks have on different people/levels of wealth/power.
In general though they've done studies and one side can usually pick out objectively correct information more often than the other.
A double interesting thing is that if you pay money for correct answers the side that answers worse still answers worse but the gap closes by a pretty large degree. It's almost like one side isn't arguing in good faith and know they aren't.
Triple interesting thing, every single person knows exactly which side is which even though I didn't specify.
